I saw THS on rapper wives and Big Pun’s wife was abused by him. It is unfortunate that his finances were not up to par but she needs to get busy on supporting herself and her family and move on.

I just heard Liza’s response on missinfo.tv. She’s claiming that she never received a check & has worked before. I just think it’s funny that she’s leaning (no pun intended) on Joe so many years after his death. She blew $125,000…plain and simple. She is saying that whatever is being made using Pun’s name/music etc., her family isn’t benefitting from it. It’s a sad story, but this isn’t Fat Joe’s responsibility.

im a wife myself & i agree with fat joe. he did more than alot of men/friends would have done. im from the streets and when you die your just dead and people move on. when joe gave her that money, she should’ve flipped it and did like he said: go to school, open your own business’so you can continue getting bread ma. nyc is an expensive place to live. i would’ve relocated down south (inexpensive, NICE homes), went 2 school and opened a business or 2. even if he did beat me, i would not have released those tapes b/c i would’ve used his name to the FULLEST to get my own business’off the ground. i wouldve painted a rosey picture of pun, so i could continue getting money of of his legacy. Going platinum doesn’t equate a million dollars in an artist’s pocket. Really going platinum means nothing these days…let alone back in 1998 when records deals weren’t great to begin with. Artists are just now starting to get smarter about their business dealings.

Sounds like Pun probably had a shady record deal, that’s why the family isn’t provided for.

I don’t blame Fat Joe. She blew the money dropping E’s. I knew her connect and he was always telling me he was dropping by her crib with over $100 worth each time and this was everyday.

As his wife, I’m not understanding why she’s not getting any of his royalties, and I’m not understanding why she didn’t have a hefty life insurance policy on his big ass.

I TOTALLY agree with Joe. He’s done enough for her now she needs to do the shyt for herself. In all honesty…the shyt he did for her he didn’t have to do from jump. He owes her nothing. She owes her kids everything. She needs to be a woman and get up off her fat a** and work!!! Bottom line. There are a bunch of women with children who lost their signifigant other and are out there grinding. I don’t think she should depend 100% on Fat Joe. However, FAt Joe was nothing but a hypeman homie of Pun til he died. He took the Terror Squad name and ran with it on the strength of Pun. Who is left on Terror Squad that was co-signed by Pun? Who is left on Terror Squad period? Legally as long as he uses that name, his portion should be distibuted to his heirs. However, one single off an album does not a fortune make. Honestly he and the wife both need to get jobs! Joe is a fraud and a crook. There is a reason everyone left.

I agree with Fat Joe. Although she got $116k she could have been smart with the money. Instead of living in a home that she and the children couldn’t afford, she should have sold the home took the money bought a smaller home and invested it in something. If she liked doing hair she should have done that and opened up a salon and that would have been money coming in “all the time”. but she didn’t do that. I understand that Big Pun’s death was not expected, but you can’t let yourself fall to pieces for the rest of your life. Pun has been gone for awhile, there is no reason to still be on t.v. talking about what you don’t have!! As Fat Joe said you can’t keep living off the legacy of being Big Pun’s wife!! I have a child and the father and I broke up and he didn’t pay child support BUT I worked a full time & part time job, maintained a home, paid bills and still spent time with my son. Although my child’s father did not pass away like Pun it’s the same difference, because there was no money coming in. It’s not hard to do, yes you do get tired, but you should want to provide for your kids without depending on other to provide for you (especially when you are an adult).

As stated by some others, record sales aint where the big money come from. Concerts, merchandise sales etc. is how artists get the big dollars. Obviously, Pun aint available for concerts and such. And how many peeps really trying to buy merchandise affiliated wid Big Pun? Not many. Big girl needs to get her self in gear and get a j-o-b.

Give a person a fish they will eat for a day. Teach a person how to fish, they will eat forever. Somebody need to teach big girl how to bait a line!

Big Pun’s wife sounds like your typical battered wife. She was battered but refused to leave big Pun. She liked the money, the flashy things, living the life. He died and she thought Fat Joe was going to keep her living that life style. Fat Joe isn’t obligated to do a thing for her or her kids, but he gave her money because of his close relationship with Big Pun.

It’s HER fault if she continued to mismanage her money over the years. I can’t have any sympathy for her and her kids being in a shelter because if I was given thousands of dollars I would have started my own business and worked hard at making sure that business was successful. She clearly was still trying to live the life instead of saving and investing that money for her and her kids futures.

I have children and if anything happened to my husband you better believe I will do everything in my power to make a good life for them. I will not sit on my butt waiting for handouts from anyone!!!
