In case you ever wondered exactly what they are all doing now, here is a bit from a New York Post article that pretty much states that the Jacksons are a bunch of broke asses:
Marlon Jackson, 51, an original Jackson Five member who stocks shelves at a Vons supermarket in San Diego, had to temporarily move into an extended-stay hotel.
Randy, 46, does odd jobs, including fixing cars in a Los Angeles garage owned by a family friend. He recently claimed Michael was going to give him $1.7 million – “a pipe dream,” said another brother last week.
Jackie, 56, the oldest and most debonair of the brothers, is struggling to manage his son Siggy’s aspiring rap career after an Internet clothing business startup and attempts to produce music failed.
Jermaine, 54, shuttles back and forth from his girlfriend’s home in Ventura County, Calif., to his parents’ mansion in Encino, where Jackie and Randy still bunk.
Tito, 55, is the only brother still making music, but it’s a meager living. The guitarist fronts a blues and jazz band that plays small venues and nets him $500 and $1,500 per occasional gig – a far cry from the days when the Jacksons could pull in 50,000 people at $30 a ticket.
Family patriarch Joseph Jackson, 79, spends most of his waking hours conjuring up schemes he hopes will replenish a bank account that once had more money than the FDIC cared to insure. Peddling musical girl groups in Las Vegas and a book about his family in Germany, Joseph, despite evidence to the contrary, is not convinced that time and the music industry have passed him by.
“We can get back out there and set the world on fire,” he told The Post last week. “If the Rolling Stones can still rake in the money, so, too, can my boys.”

Well God doesn’t want you to “store” money and *****ets before you die, but he definitely didn’t want us to be broke! But the Jacksons are “broke” amongst celebrity friends..I know a lot of people who would trade their situation for the Jacksons..They still wear Armani Suits, have multiple homes to stay in around the world and are well fed, so I’m not that disappointed in what their lives have become!
Sad but they need to give it up.

It’s not Janet’s responsibility to take care of her brothers. Yes…it is good to help your family out when they are down and out. However, if they are as broke as it says they are, they are not good stewarts over their financials and whatever Janet gives them would probably get spent away as well.

I agree with you on that….I just can’t see them being that dirt poor. I think they may be having some financial issues and are definitely not where they use to be financially, but I still think it just isn’t that serious for Randy to be changing tires in a garage for money and Marlon & his family living in an Extended Stay hotel……..
All that money they made and know one knew how to invest their money. The family really should have pushed education to ensure that they had something to fall back on.

Michael has had financial issues but he isnt broke..Last time i saw Joe Jackson in Las Vegas he was getting out of a limousine,with drink in hand and looking well fed!!! If Joe wasent hanging on to Mother for dear life and didnt go where she goes, his name would be on that list as Joseph the Ex Manager- now drives taxis. I see them all as not being able to stand him. i think that if the jacksons were broke, it would be reported in alot more places than the NY post. that paper is considered a “tabloid” anyway. the Jackson family is not broke. as a matter of fact, they are in talks to purchase a family compound in europe. and no, it’s not michael or janet negotiating the deal. and they still own the house that the media said they lost years ago. but of course, that’s not all over the news. they’ve been saying that the jacksons are broke since the 80’s. they should have been homeless by now if it was true, the way they tell it. but i guess it’s easier to believe that they are broke. just like someone said, that family couldn’t go broke even if they wanted to.

Janet Jackson has said before that the only adults that she will take care of are her mother and father. Allowing 8 siblings (and their 172 +/- children) to “keep up appearances”, hollywood style no less, on your dime, is a GOOD way to go broke! I’m sure she won’t let them go hungry. The Jackson plight also shows the need for people to get an education so that they have some skills to fall back on, so that they can cross check their accountants, financial advisors, contracts. People need to personally supervise their finances.
