May I step in? It’s tacky because the cut of the pant is not flattering to her, at all… And, the top doesn’t look retro chic or even classic, it just looks like an old woman wearing a Chanel or Chanel-esque top.

And her cousin does have a very weird shape…her Mom has a similiarly “off” build no wonder Beyonce diets, she’s trying to stay away from that… Judging from the way she’s slimming down, she must be done filming…

B is wearing something simple and classic. She’s wearing wide-leg pants that aren’t fitted; oh well. The top is reminiscent of Chanel’s classic suit, but that isn’t necessarily bad.

It’s a plain outfit. Not a hit, but it certainly isn’t a miss.

Although I am questioning the gray stacked heels….. :-\

I’m all for mixing colors; if the outfit wasn’t so simple I could see throwing in a splash of gray, but since it is, she could’ve gone with some black heels.

^^^??? Really? I’ve always seen her brown skinned. Maybe you caught her when she had a tan…I know first hand as a brown skinned gal…I’m dark from about July until my tan totally wears off and it starts getting cool in October.

But then again…you never know. lol

I agree with you, Lili, for the most part. I actually don’t think anything would have permitted her from mixing colors or that the outfit would have appeared so simple if she’d actually pay attention to fit. The Olsens wear nothing but basic pieces, for the most part and yet I would hardly be so flip as to say: “It’s a plain outfit. Not a hit, but it certainly isn’t a miss” about them. And, it’s only because of their attention to fit… Beyonce has a great body, a perfect coke bottle and there’s absolutely no reason she should be wearing pants that fit oddly. It’s about editing and it’s clear that she just want to follow trends… Sure, wide legs are in, but so are good sense and tailors!

In terms of her outfit and mixing colors, I should have finished my thought: if she had worn a blue and black dress, the gray heels would have added some spunk, but the plainness of her ensemble (black/blue sweater, black pants) couldn’t be salvaged with differently colored heels.

Again, she looks fine. I think she was dressing for comfort this time.

AND you’re right about the Olsens- they can be simple and chic; they definitely have their days when they are on the “miss” list though.
