Typical. It angers me when ANY WOMAN OF ANY COLOR does not know how to care for bi-racial babies hair.

First of all if your kids are mixed with black and have thick, curly hair you need to know that our hair is NOT like the caucasions or Mexicans or Asians! We need grease or some kind of oil on our hair. If you don’t know how to do our hair LEARN! Find someone to teach you, and if you’re too lazy to do that then take them babies to a black beauty salon and let them take care of their hair (not by slapping a perm in it either!!). Please stop cutting their hair off (girls especially)because you don’t know what to do with it or not combing it because you don’t have the patience to sit and detangle it!!!!!! That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Saying “I don’t know what to do with it” is no excuse! LEARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok BLACK FOLKS…let’s b real…baby gurl is cute as a button but that’s just neglect!!!…I just finished combing thru my baby’s hair which hadn’t been combed in a week…it wasn’t nothin’ nice…she was a at point where she was sweatin’ me about combing her hair and she’s 10!!!my mom’s been doin’ hair professionally since she was pregnant w/me and I’m going on 41…there’s times I’ve spent 9 hrs doin’ her hair….I live in MN and there have beeen many bi-racial children that have been brought to my mom’s shop requesting help…it makes a difference in their self-esteem and how they feel about themselves…find a good salon in a urban neighborhood and have them do some deep conditioning to that baby’s hair…it make a difference!

Just take them to a black owned salon, Los Angeles has tons of them. Or better yet, hire one of the many top African-American hairstylists in L.A. to come to your home to do your daughter’s hair. With all the money Kobe has there is no excuse that his daughter’s hair should be looking like that. And you don’t have to use chemicals either. A good shampoo and deep conditioner formulated for the African-American child will do her wonders. Try the Just For Me or PCJ lines. And you all don’t blame Vanessa—Kobe married this girl out of high school, what the hell would she know about caring for bi-racial hair!?!?!?!? She needs to be taught so she in turn can teach her babies how to take care of their hair.
