I have dated all races and since I don’t frequent this website any longer I am not ashamed to admit the past three men I have dated were non-black! I attempted to date black men while in graduate school and for the most part they seemed to be driven by a hidden agenda. When I date white men I feel I have their full attention and they cater to my wants.

BMI is not a measure of body fat, it is actually a pretty incorrect way to analyze one’s size. It doesn’t take muscle mass and body composition into account. Just ask any athlete. I.e. almost every football player scores in the obese area of BMI (at least 25). Two people can look exactly the same, wear the same size and weigh different amounts, BMI misses that.

In conjunction to the BMI index we have disproportionate levels of heart disease, diabetes, and and other lifestyle related diseases in the black community. So if the black woman’s big behind is killing her, she needs to get rid of it. We need to get rid of the food. We need to stop hiding behind our behinds and lose some weight. I am seeing some gigantic black females around. Young too.

Being biracial myself, I can see truth in both points being made in this post. From my perspective, people need to stop with the “black don’t crack” and putting white women down though. For one, why brag about something that is god given (melanin) that better protects you from the sun?? That’s really all aging is about and those whites who stay out of the sun age nicely as well. It shows nothing about how well you take care of yourselves. That’s like whites are asians bragging about having straight hair and putting down blacks for having to perm their hair and buy weave. Skin color is a real issue and not talking about it will not make it go away, just like electing Obama did not eradicate racism.

This is issue that disproportionately affects women because women are judged on their looks more so then men. And because sexism is a serious issue in the community that really has not been addressed, there is a tendency to gloss over the impact it has on our community.

I think this is great for Sistas AND Brothers. The more people celebrating rich ebony skin the better off we all will be. I also think the more that black women can appreciate their own beauty – which is wide ranging – the less strife there will be between light and dark and brothas and sistas. Isn’t that black men want less bitter black women?

I can’t recall who on this post said black men don’t care if black women date white dudes – that has not been my experience. I’ve dated white guys and had brothas be rude to my dates or try to start fights like straight out of Lakeview Terrace LOL. I’m with an awesome black man right now, but I don’t think I would have him if I had not kept an open heart.

Which stated that 45% of black women had HIV infection and 35% of white women had the same infection. Now im no rocket sciencist but even if the percentage was higher with the African American Woman there are still more white women with Aids. All of these stats came from an overall percentage not head count.Get it white people make up over half of the population in America. Black people don’t even make up 15%. SO sorry racist people on this site AIDS is not a black thing. Its something thats real that has nothing to do with color as of now!

With every issue from Abortion,Obesity,Drug Use,Crime Rate etc. All of the same methods (per capita)apply.Now by all means none of these are black things there simply problems in AMERICA.

On the topic of the thread, I like Leo, and I loved “Titanic.” He gave a good performance in “Revolutionary Road,” but I thought Kate Winslet was very affecting. I read that she’s going to be in a remake of “Mildred Pierce,” so that should be interesting.

On a side, side note, (500) Days of Summer is a great flick — I highly recommend it.

Networking Technology. My major is in Computer Science, however the field that I’m going into would require me to have an understanding of things that you would find on a CCNA exam. So I’m doing this time of dual-enrollment, so that by the time I graduate I’ll have my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and my Associates in Networking. It’s pretty competitive out there and I want any possible employers to know that I’m a good pick out of the crowd. That’s also why I’m hoping that things will go through and I can enter the Study Abroad program. I think that since we are operating on a global economic scale it would be beneficial for me to learn about the world through my own eyes instead of a book or documentary if I could.

I personally think the old argument I see some sisters try to make that these individuals wouldn’t treat their mothers, daughters, sisters, etc., this way doesn’t hold a lot of weight with men who have the mentality of thinking this language is acceptable. Wow! I must have been under a rock. I did not know that black men and black women had soooo much dislike for one another. All of my brothers are married to black women and seem pretty happy, I might add. I was crazy about my black father and love my brothers. Reading these posts you would never believe that black men and black women were raised in the same households and attended the same ‘family’reunions. Something ain’t right here. On another note, big deal that Leo is seen out on the town with this black woman ’cause it is no more of a big deal than Kim K. dating Reggie Bush.
