Director Spike Lee has planned a birthday celebration for the king of pop in Brooklyn, NY.
The celebration will take place on August 29th at Fort Greene Park from noon till 5PM. August 29th will also be the day that the Jackson family will finally lay Michael to rest as well. Spike Lee says that he and Michael come from the same time period and he can remember wanting to perfect his afro so it could be like MJ’s.
Spike was last with Michael in Brazil to produce the video for “They Don’t Care About Us” Michael’s last single before his death. August 29th will mark what would have been Michael’s 51st birthday.
