How does this conversation go from holding this young man accountable for his actions—- to blaming NOT his parents but blaming his mama.

Here we have a couple of poor excuses for men who are willing to not only EXCUSE but never even MENTION the apparently non-existent FATHER of this career criminal just so they can stand on their high horses and place the blame.. on a woman.

Never mind the fact that ALL children need their fathers…never mind the fact that that has little or no bearing on the number of men who continuously walk out and never look back as if they have NO responsibility to the life they helped create….there are just as many if not MORE fathers out there who should be held responsible for the way these kids turn out as there are mothers.

We, as blacks, need to stop trying to find ways to keep/get these fools out of jail. So many of these males we try to “save” from the system turn around and violate the community w/progressing degrees of savagery. These types of elements “have to go”, if we are going to make things livable and safe for other people trying to live happy, decent lives.

I agree with you too. I think the death penalty should be utilized more often and applied to more crimes. Innocent people shouldn’t have to suffer OVER AND OVER AGAIN to sustain the “rights” of people who have such disregard for life and the civil rights of others.

I understand how some of you can say that “we pick these men to procreate with” or “we KEEP laying down with these men” but once, JUST once I’d like for some of you to admit that these men are partial to blame for the demise of our youth through their inability to be responsible for raising their offspring(s)–especially their sons!!!

Those black men who abandon their kids should be accountable for their actions. Thats the responsible and moral thing to do. However, when we as women *choose* to sleep with a man who has shown them what they truly are, a serial cheater, thug, no job having, non committal, criminal, no educated and low life human being, and get pregnant by him, why do we expect him to do a complete 360 and step a raise his kids? So yes, we as women have the last word on who we pick for our kids fathers. If we choose negatively, we will have a negative impact, if we choose positively, we will have a positive outcome.
