“A married man who used to be a woman says that he is pregnant and will give birth to a baby girl in July.”
When asked how it feels to be a pregnant man, Thomas Beatie replied:
“Despite the fact that my belly is growing with a new life inside me, I am stable and confident being the man that I am.” Mr. Beatie was born female, named Tracy Lagondino, but had gender reassignment surgery and is now legally male and married to a woman.
However, the word is that this could just be a hoax. A neighbor of Thomas Beatie said:
“Quite frankly, I think it’s a hoax. I saw him a few days ago and he didn’t look like that,…He was walking down the street with who I thought was his wife, Nancy, and I don’t recall seeing a belly if that was a month ago. He would have been much bigger just a few days ago.”
Let’s hope that’s the case. Otherwise, we might be living in “The End of Days”.

You know I think its beautiful, plus some of you don’t even know the whole story. He/she was taking hormones and got his breast cut off, but he/she still had her female reproductive system and still had a vagina, his wife is un-able to have babies because she had a hysterectomy so the husband deiced to carry the baby, on the outside it looks like a man but it is still a women. The charges stem from a 2007 incident in which Remy shot a friend of hers after a fight over $3,000 in cash stolen from Remy’s purse. The defense tried to make the shooting an accident — but it looks like they didn’t quite convince the jury.
Remy was not found guilty of gang *****ault and witness tampering, among the nine total charges she faced. We’re told the victim’s friends and family taunted Remy when the verdicts were read — full pandemonium in the courtroom.

Umm..okayy.
This situation is impossible for the following reasons:
1. Once you have gender re-*****ignment surgery, NO ETHICAL DOCTOR in this country would leave any functioning female or male reproductive organs “in tact”.
You cant have it both ways..
2. With the amount of Testosterone and other *****tails of hormone replacement therapy this “man” is taking, it would eliminate “his/her” period all together (pre-op) and eventually lead to the body not releasing eggs for fertilization.
There’s a reason Men do not ovulate…it’s called Testosterone!!
Even if she banked her ovaries pre-op she could not carry her fertilized eggs in “his/her” own post-op body. No uterus means no bun in the oven :]

You’re on point about the hormones, (theres a transgender lady @ my company) they’re supposed to basically kill off the female oestrogene as far as I’m aware…so it wud have been pretty difficult for her to conceive but maybe not impossible? But I guess she may have frozen her eggs before she started the change – just in case – and had IVF.

Did anyone read the article? He is transgender but identifies himself as a man and has both sexual organs…or at least female reproductive organs. I understand some may say why not adopt but they wanted a baby of their own…I hope biologically the baby’s ok (because all tose testosterone shots may have som effect) but Im not seeing where the kid will have pscychological problems because hell they’ll have 2 loving parents…Wish I had that sh*t in my life…

From what I’ve learned, a lot of transgendered people elect to have only the more “cosmetic” surgery done (i.e. women have their ***** removed and take testosterone to develop masculine features; men get breast implants and take estrogen to appear more feminine), but don’t choose to have their genitals altered. Weird, but true.
The only way this story could make any sense is if “Thomas” did the same thing. He must still have a vagina, otherwise how could he and his wife have performed an “at-home insemination”??
I do my best not to judge people, but I totally agree with the other posters that can’t manage to fit being a man and having a baby in the same box. If this woman felt like a man trapped in a man’s body – enough that she chose to change her gender – why keep her uterus? Why not freeze her eggs instead and use a surrogate later on when she/he wanted to have a biological child? I just can’t wrap my brain around this…This ***** is unfair to the rest of us who deal day in and day out with the downside of being the gender God created us to be… I hate having a *****ing period, and often wish I could have the earning potential of my male counterparts, but I can’t just up and choose to be a man when it’s convenient then go back to being a woman when it serves my needs better (I’m 100% straight married female, just saying though!).
What gives her the right to chose something in the middle? No matter what she/he may say, her/his intentions are selfish, and that little baby is going to suffer.
