Who Dropped $2.3 Milli On This East Village Apartment and Who Bought This Brownstone???
Posted by Bossip Staff
Some people are downsizing while at the same time experts say this is a buyer’s market. A crooner and director just bought some extravagant places, one of them at a good “NYC” price of $2.3 million. Pop it to find out who and to see the whole digs…
The Brownstone is Spike Lee’s and the white laced is John Legend’s new crib, and damn that’s a lot of space.

wtf
Very nice Mr. Legend
John Legend’s place is very nice indeed.
I’m happy for Mr. Legend on his wise purchase, but, Bossip is at it again!those are two very different locations. The apartment in the east village is in a brownstone, whereas the other pics are from a loft in a highrise possibly not even in NYC… Try again!
great eye @ MS8KANE! I was saying the same damn thing as i’m looking at these pics. Probably not even John Legend’s apartment but it still is a very nice place
I HOPE HE DIDNT SPEND 2.3 ON THIS *****. ITS NICE BUT THOSE ARE NOT EVEN REAL HARDWOOD FLOORS IN THE KITCHEN. THAT PARKAY WOOD FLOORING IN THAT KITCHEN IS NOT WAVY.
John is P-A-I-D. He’s paying for the neighborhood and not the apartment.
John Legend is the most selfish artist in music. Take care of your family first homo.
Lol @ Yes indeed. Pretty random. Care to elaborate??
Ms8Kane is correct. The other photos are of a brownstone in Brooklyn that previously belonged to Spike Lee. So looks like we got a two-for-one from Bossip today! (There’s a third house shown too, which is on a beach, but it doesn’t belong to a celebrity as far as we know.)
Happy B: The floors in both kitchens appear to be authentic hardwood floors to us. They are merely two different styles–parquet (Lee’s brownstone) and wood plank (Legend’s condo).
John already has my room
I’d LOVE to purchase a brownstone in NY–especially Harlem–striver’s row.
It’s a whole lotta money there!!!I wished I would’ve gotten in on the dollar deal back in the day but the required renovations (at that time) were way outta my league.
them places is sick man
hey bossip staff. u ppl need to get it together. that is two different locations. first, a brownstone is only 4stories at best. the pics of the view would not be in the same location. then the house at the end is not a brownstone. what r u doing!??!?!
@ diva,
I was thinking of visiting New York for the Honeymoon, can you tell me how far the hamptons are from Manhattan’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel? and is it better to rent a car and drive or catch a train?
Wow……….No wonder all my Atl neighbors are from NY. Our homes are the same size as John Legends but we paid 184-250k. There are some still a few empty lots in my subdivion that have gone down 15k since I moved in.
must be nice.
they deserve it!!!
you go boys!!
@atl_finest what area are u living in?
@ ATL_Finest. Stop playing man. Are you 4real? Where in ATL can a broda scoop up a crib for under 200k? I may have to re-evaluate my pimping and move to the ATL
Wow, happy for you guys both. I’d be so excited to move in there, expecially with John!!! Spike, yeah, nice buy too.
@Pimp4Aday….No please dont…we have too many of you transplants here now…that’s why our unemployment rate is almost 11% all you niccas can’t flood ONE city. Atls finest and your neighbors keep up if you can….This ain’t the land of milk and honey. You’ll see.
Read it again people, the article clearly states a singer AND a director bought new cribs, it then goes on to state that the brownstone belongs to Spike Lee and the white apartment is John Legend’s.
Hurrah!!! Don;t HATE; Celebrate. They came from the ground UP. So, They have momey to buy a house; So What!!! So Rich White Boys buy homes all the time, It Is Also About LOCATION… You, the Poor, Downsize, that is not their format.
