No one is above reproach – not even dark-skinned women. If one has a legitimate complaint or issue with a woman (of ANY complexion) then fine. I simply have a problem with this notion that Usher selected the ‘wrong’ woman by selecting a woman who’s darker than himself. Tameka is derided like no other celebrity’s wife, and I’m tired of words like ‘ugly’ and ‘mannish’ being reserved for dark-skinned women.

When are you all going to give it up? First there was speculation about them even dating..then there was speculation about them breaking up…then there was speculation about them getting married..then there was speculation about them having kids together..now there is speculation about their divorce. GET OVER IT. She’s already made it farther with him then any other woman…what else do you need?

Equally ridiculous are the accusations of gold-digging. Should Usher ONLY date/marry women who can match his yearly income? How many women earn THAT much? (I’ll bet Chili didn’t). Is that how it should work – men should ONLY date/marry women in their income bracket? How come it’s okay for Bill Gates to marry someone who isn’t in HIS income bracket, but it’s not okay for Usher to do the same? Didn’t Bill’s wife know of his wealth? Should we question her motives? Is she a gold-digger, too?

STOP IT, people! Accept the fact that not every African American male requires the companionship of a light-skinned or non-Black woman! ALLOW for the fact that dark-skinned sistas are equally worthy of a man’s love and affection! And stop basing everything on money! The net worth of the African American community is at an all-time high, yet the marriage rate in our community is at an all-time low; don’t falsely *****ociate one with the other…
