Ho Sit Down

Posted by Bossip Staff

barackobama.emanuelcleaver

Here is why Missouri Congressman and Hillary Clinton supporter Emanuel Cleaver thinks “White America” will vote for Obama:

“For White Americans, it’s like, this guy can speak. If you put him on a level with a lot of other African-American public speakers, he may not even measure up.”

“If I had to make a prediction right now, I’d say Barack Obama is going to be the next president. I will be stunned if he’s not the next president of the United States.”

“I think for many white Americans, they are looking at Barack Obama and saying ‘This is our chance to demonstrate that we have been able to get this boogeyman called race behind us,’” Cleaver said. “And so they are going to vote for him, whether he has credentials or not, whether he has any experience — I think all that’s out the window.”

What the hell is this fool talking about? Let’s talk about Hillary’s experience. This sea hag thinks sitting up under dick-silly Billy for 8 years makes her a seasoned politician. We all know she spent a good deal of her time in the White House giving tea parties and covering up Ole Bill’s fat girl fellatio fetish.

hmm was not the same speculation said about Kennedy too!

  2. Misty Knight&my friend Sandra Rose

    1st?

  3. It really irritates me when people say its such a huge accomplishment that a black man “speaks” well…

    wtf

    self hating *****…

  4. Misty Knight&my friend Sandra Rose

Wow, I never knew that being an articulate black man could win you the Presidency! well hell Id like to think that Im articulate and Im a woman ..so thats like a double hitter! Bam! Bam! Misty Knight 2012 BABBBY cuz I speak real Good!

  5. Doc

LOL I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY NO MORE I JUST WONDER WHY SOME PEOPLE DONT JUST SHUT THE F**K OFF.

  6. I think he is right to a certain extent about how white people look at Barack, but that is not the whole story. Barack has earned their vote. White folks didn’t vote for Jesse so it’s more than them trying to show they are not racist.

  7. HillaryPro

90% of Hillary supports will support her till the last moment. At the wealthy men club seekwealthy.com, I find all her supporters are back with her. However, Hillary is the first lady who are vote for the president. She is and will always be the greatest woman.

  8. Misty Knight&my friend Sandra Rose

and Im really tired of Hilarys Goons coming out saying all this lame ***** crap about Obama, she really needs to throw a muzzle on these fools, all its doing is creating bad blood between supporters of both canidates, and it does not shed any favorable light on her at all, it takes a hell of alot more than an “ariculate” black man to win over America, as one educator put it “To transend racial divide, Obama will indeed have to be The Magic Negro!” Trust “White Guilt” is not that deep, was it the same “white guilt” that got him where he is?

  9. Just Sit and Be Pretty

I agree, he gets one big ole “ho sit down”. I don’t get his logic.

  10. Lady Architect

    Bird,

I agree with you. If it were purely about him being black and not caring about his stats then we would have already had a black president before hand. Anyways I think he earned it and I’m tired of people giving their “expertise knowledge” of why he is ahead in the races. Look at the numbers not excuses.

  11. C.C.

I love Barack and sincerely hope he wins. If he does win, everything in the world is going to be done to make him look incompetent and untrustworthy, so I hope he is ready. I just hope he survives.

  12. Misty Knight&my friend Sandra Rose

    @ C.C.

co-sign 100%; he is definately gonna be held to a whole new set of standards! very high pressure

  13. jon jack

I disagree completely with the Ho Sit Down title. Rev. Clever is just saying how it is. There are whites out there who will use this as an opportunity to say that race problems are over. For some this will replace the normal denial used by whites “some of my best friends are black”. They can now say “some of my friends are black and I voted for Obama, so you know I’m not racist”. Go on Rev! I got your back.

  14. so 510 bay

hillary cinton use to appear to be a solid lady then a horns started coming out this woman’s the devil she never knows what she’s talking about, she’s a horrible liar and when asked questions she dances around the answer b/c she doesnt have one. if she swindles her way (which is nearly impossible) into representing the democratic party i will not vote!

    OBAMA 08

  15. black princess

let me just say..some of what this man is saying is true…so many white people have already told me..’im not racist, i voted for obama’ it may replace the old..but i have black friends comment…

  16. kristi

He is right. Barrack is a great speaker to white people, but I think we all know several good black speakers. Many of us attend their churches every Sunday. Inspirational speaking is just another one of the things that we typically do well at. Like he said Barrack when up against another black speaker may not even measure up (hell, he probably isn’t a better speaker than Cleaver.)

The real “Ho Sit Down” is still for Hilary not Cleaver.

  17. Kym G

THE BOOGEYMAN CALLED RACISM… BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO . What the F?? what’s up with his Negroes George Jefferson Horsehoe hair cut?

  18. Donald R. King, posting as Bones Jordan

So white folks gone vote for Obama huh? Yeah right *****. I will, whiteys won’t. It’s so many more whiteys than me though. Damn.

Would Obama be just another house ***** if he weren’t running for President. He speaks so well.(LOL) Thoughs?

  19. Tiff

    LMAO at “*****-silly Billy”

  20. TAY

    LMAO!

  21. kristi

Maybe it is rare that we speak well. Look at the grammar used in some of the post. Hell read the Khia my*****e post. The Sh(t ain’t cool anymore.

  22. YES.WE.CAN.2008!!!

It seems like everytime Obama gains ground, which happens to be often in this race, the Clinton campaign, or its supporters come out to talk ***** about character traits of Barack Obama, and make them all about his ethnicity. How many times will this game be palyed before this stupid ***** and her supporters realize that is one of the factors that attract people AWAY from her, and to Barack Obama? People are tired of her bull*****.

  23. Red

Jon Jack is right on! Kristi made some good points too. Donald whites are voting for him. He has won the majority of the states.

  24. Al-Anon

    @Bossip

Let’s talk about Hillary’s experience. This sea hag thinks sitting up under *****-silly Billy for 8 years makes her a seasoned politician.

    ________________________________________

    LMAO!! *****-silly Billy

Too bad, Bill Clinton wasn’t a bonafide man-w*****….Hillary coulda made good money from pimping his *****.

  25. Red

Yes We Can – I don’t think that is what Cleaver was tyring to do. CNN reported this as Cleaver may be leaving her camp and taking his Super Delegate vote with him. I live in Kansas City where Cleaver is from. He is pastor of a big church here, former mayor of the city and is an overrall good dude who has done a lot for our community.

  26. YES.WE.CAN.2008!!!

I think Emanuel Cleaver is using this as a trick to return some of the black vote to Hillary who may feel vindicative about white people voting for Barack.

But, it will backfire. He is gaining ground in PA, and it has nothing to do with tricking people with his words; he stands for a referedum on politics status quo.

It doesn’t matter what ethnicity; Barack’s supporters are sick and tired of everything but the issues of the economy, the war, healthcare, global warming, and education NOT being addressed because congressman like Emanuel Cleaver being ignorant as hell.

  27. NotoriousOne

I think some folks just want attention. They can’t just show support and say that he’s an exemplary candidate. They wanna go above and beyond and say some off the wall ish to garner that attention.

    OBAMA ‘08 & ‘12

    YES WE CAN!! &

    YES WE WILL!

  28. Red

Yes – Do you think the federal government should have anything to do with educating your child? I think that should be handled at a local level. I don’t need Bush in Washington telling me how my child in KC should be educated.

  29. alldeed

I think that the people who are writing at Bossip need to take a look at their own one-sided coverage. Anyone who opposes or has any negative statements about Barack is given a “Ho Sit Down.” I happen to be from Missouri and know that the congressman is a great man and did many things for the black people of Kansas City when he was their mayor. Just because he does not agree with your political stance and does not support Barack because he is black does not make his opinion wrong and he does not deserve to be disrespected.

  30. Red

For the record. I’m an Obama supporter. I support Cleaver as well.

  31. NotoriousOne

    @ YES.WE.CAN.2008!!!

“Barack’s supporters are sick and tired of everything but the issues of the economy, the war, healthcare, global warming, and education NOT being addressed”

And that’s what this WHOLE election needs to be about. What can the next POTUS do to get us out of this economic quagmire that we are currently in. Obviously, the status quo (McCain) is not going to do and neither is politics as usual (Clinton). So clearly Obama is THE best candidate for the job.

  32. NotoriousOne

    @ Red…

“Do you think the federal government should have anything to do with educating your child?”

Have anything to do w/ educating our children in what sense? In terms of the school curriculum, monetary consideration, educational policies?

  33. Lou in the Chi

What Cleaver said is true. The reasons white would never vote for Jesse or Al was because they were always extremely vocal proponents of black issues. Barack is not. He doesn’t want white America to view him as black, whenever his race is mentioned he always makes sure that you remember he is also half white. Negating some of his blackness. Jesse and Al do not possess this ability. So I don’t think its just that he can speak well. I think its that he can speak well and is not yelling about up with the black man. That’s what white folk don’t want to hear.

  34. Mike Obama

I would like to invite Lady Architect into my oval office. I have a couple of tables I need you to bend over. Oops I mean papers to look over. Sorry bout that.

  35. Red

All of the above. This is one place where Barrack and I differ. I don’t want the president of the US working on education. I would prefer for it to be handled at a local level. The President should focus his time on Security and Economy.

  36. NotoriousOne

    @ Lou in the Chi…

“they were always extremely vocal proponents of black issues. Barack is not.”

I’m always a lil’ lost when people say ‘black issues’. I mean, the economy, jobs, education, health insurance, national security, our kids getting sent off to unjustified wars…are those not the issues we ALL worry about? Blacks, whites, browns, yellow, purple…

  37. NotoriousOne

    @ Red…

In terms of education, you’re right, I personally believe that the foundation of your education is built in the school system but the educational structure should be handled AT HOME by the parent. Sitting w/ your child and making sure the work is done, encouraging your child to read instead of playing video games all day, summer reading, etc.

But considering that a survey just showed that only 49% of H.S. students graduate on time, the gov’t might feel compelled to look into it. To see what they might not be doing on a local level.

  38. Ro

Don’t let Hill back on the hill.

  39. Saucy

What Cleaver had to say is true. Whites find Barrack less threatening than say Jessie Jackson or Sharpton. He’s a likeable Negro. I know what it’s like to be seen as one. I deal with it everyday in the workplace. I’m treated like you’re not like those other blacks. And, of course, in the workplace we don’t discuss race, so they really don’t know what my thoughts are or how I get my party on when the weekend comes.

  40. YES.WE.CAN.2008!!!

On one hand, I would like it where sound education was available to every student. In Memphis, that is a big issue: parents have to register students to be able to attend the ‘good schools’ as opposed to the ‘ghetto schools’ where the kids mostly fight or do other unsavor things. I happen to agree with you about education being handled on the local level, Red. This is why it incenses me when the race card is continually perpetuated into this race by someone who happens to be the SAME color as Barack regardless if Barack has a white mother. I would surmise that Cleaver is a great orator as well, but I would also surmise that he did not get elected based on his oratory skills, alone, and for him to suggest this as a sole reason for white people electing Barack is ignorant on his part. I didn’t see that report on CNN about him, either. Could you link it to me? Thanks.

  41. Lady Architect

    Mike Obama

SMH…very immature get yourself together that’s no compliment in my eyes.

    Red,

I see what you mean but at the same time the problem with education always reaches further than local because of funding mainly. The school cries to the district, who cries to the county, who cries to the state, who cries to the state, who cries to the senators, who pushes their problem in congress, and at a point reaches the president which is a very long process so I think people just want things done at a quicker pace and that means cutting the chain a little shorter. I donno if he has to attack it directly but I do agree the chain in education problems need to be cut shorter. I donno that’s my take on it from what I know. Don’t take it as an argument cause that’s not what I’m doing.

  42. Southern Belle 225

    “*****-silly Billy”******DEAD******

  43. Lady Architect

    Saucy,

I think your statement shows why you have the job and you keep the job. I think some people get way too caught up in “they trying to make me a sellout and I gotta keep it real and hood”…Notice I said some so if you’re not like this then you shouldn’t take offense. You are right that’s why Sharpton and Jackson wasn’t accepted. Also they were mixing way too much church in the state and everyone knows there should be a seperation btw the two. That’s why I personally wasn’t too much of a fan.

  44. NotoriousOne

    @ Lady Architect…

Kudos on your point about local gov’t starting that snowball effect that eventually reaches the POTUS. Obviously funding for better and more teachers is an issue that cannot be solely handled on a local scale. I don’t think the federal gov’t is necessarily dictating the curriculum our kids should follow.

  45. DDub

He’s been taken out of context.

The gist of this particular point is really a jab at how white people perceive blacks. You have to think about all those whites who little to no exposure to blacks and form their opinion of our whole race based on negative news reports and imagery plastered across the tv.

It was actually, a very candid interview where you have a Hillary supporter give kudos to Barack–something that we don’t see in her camp as much as we see with his supporters. His support for Clinton was based mostly on loyalty and long standing connection–he made it clear that he’d have no problem supporting Obama [when] he gets the nomination.

  46. NotoriousOne

At the end of the day Sharpton and Jesse are polarizing individuals, which is why they are more effective on a local level. On the big state, IMO, you need to handle the main issues that effect us ALL as Americans…because losing jobs is NOT a color thing, a failing economy sees NO skin color, kids getting sent to Iraq aren’t only black kids, failing students come in ALL colors. So these issues need to be addressed as ‘issues’ and not just ‘black issues’.

  47. NotoriousOne

    @ DDub…

“where you have a Hillary supporter give kudos to Barack”

And I definitely agree w/ you in the reading of his statements. I think part of the issue is that a lot of these individuals taking this stance on Obama don’t further clarify their statement (I guess due to their support of Hillary) by saying that he does indeed have the credentials and experience to be POTUS. Instead he says, ‘whether he has credentials or not, whether he has any experience’ making it seem like his credentials and/or experience might be suspect. Feel me?

  48. Jasmine

‘This is our chance to demonstrate that we have been able to get this boogeyman called race behind us,’

That statement is double true. But the “truthitude” of that statement does NOT negate the fact that Obama is not only much more qualified but also needed as a president now more than ever. He is our generation’s JFK – let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself and that Obama doesn’t meet the same end as Kennedy.

  49. Saucy

Thanks, Lady Architect, I think I once heard someone say that Black folks have multiple personalities or that we’re schizophrenic. We have one personality that we use the workplace and another that we use at home.

  50. Mr. Dee

    Remember the Golden Rule Folks:

if white folk like you, that means u a straight punk in the hood!!

and i BEEN telling yall obama is a big pile of well spoken doo doo for a minute now….but that comment is the handwriting on the wall now….

why are white folk scared of jackson and sharpton? casue they BEEN hood since the ’60’s, they can walk the block and get waves and smiles from thier people in new york, missisippi and alabama, barak cant do that. why? casue people in the cuts know he’s fraud just like anyother politician….

barak cant walk down his own dam street for that matter…casue theres hardly no other houses there rezko owns the ajacent lots to obamas house!!

  51. William Powers

LMBAO @ Bossip going hard at the Clintons with “sea hag” and “***** silly Billy” with a “fat girl fellatio fetish” LMBAO.

  52. NotoriousOne

    @ Mr. Dee…

“why are white folk scared of jackson and sharpton? casue they BEEN hood since the ’60’s”

    A. I don’t know about white folks being ‘scared’ of Jackson or Sharpton and

    B. I’m not sure where YOU from but Jackson and Sharpton haven’t been ‘hood’ for a hot minute. They might USE the hood to further their own agenda. But those cats are NOT hood.

  53. Detroiter4Life

LMAO!!! @ Bossip……that “*****-silly Billy” is TDF!!! ;o)

    @ Mr. Dee

Are you serious with the Jackson and Sharpton comment?!Hood? Those two jokers are off the chain but I refuse to go down that road in mixed company. And where did you get that “golden rule” LOL!!LOL!!

  54. Detroiter4Life

    @ Notorious

Amen…..say it again fo da people in the back row!! ;o)

Them fools are straight media hounds! ;p

  55. Lauren

@ Mr. Dee, Al Sharpton and Messy Jesse have not achieved the hieghts of Barack Obama’s resume….so they can think Obama is a punk all they want to but in the end he stand up ON TOP. Numbers don’t lie, look at the numbers my friend….

  56. You BOSSIP illiterates better stay out of politics and stick to what you do best, which is, copying and pasting pictures of Beyonce under the caption “For the Stans” (talking about “For the Stans”, we haven’t had one in awhile. Bossip, you betta get your copying and pasting game on).

Ok, now back to the Buffoons at Bossip. If you guys are going to dabble in politics, use some political diction, and illustrated facts. Don’t make statements like “fellatio” and “Bill Clinton’s *****” in a political argument and then expect me to take you seriously.

If you want to get involved in politics, hit the library or subsidized black community colleges and learn the rules. Don’t sit on the desk at your affirmative action job at Bossip and vomit nonsense from your mouth.

  57. Lauren

@ Notorious One, Hey Hunny! And you’re right about Jesse and Al in the hood because they don’t even get any respect at the black churches here in Philly let alone walk on 52nd st. SMH

  58. …and I’m done

  59. NotoriousOne

    @ Mr. Dee…

So if, as you put it, you are liked by white folks, ‘u a straight punk in the hood!!’ so by that mentality, people in the ‘hood don’t like Hillary or McCain cause they’re white and obviously liked by white people, don’t like Obama cause HE, is also liked by white people…so instead people in the ‘hood don’t vote. As a result they continue to live in squalid conditions, live off welfare & food stamps, continue to get sub-par education and as a result get even worse employment opportunities. But they keeping it ‘hood! Yeah, that’s a great trade-off! THAT thinking is why black folks are in the situation we are in!

  60. NotoriousOne

    @ Detroiter4Life…

“Them fools are straight media hounds!”

Which a lot of people don’t understand translates into $$$$!! THEIR personal gains!

  61. John

SOMEBODY NEED TO PUT A SIZE 12 UP THIS MANS BEHIND!! WTH IS HE TALKING ABOUT?????????

  62. I’m so sick of people bringing race into this. There are so many more important things to discuss like getting the troops out of Iraq

  63. John McCain

For all the negros who vote for me, John McCain in 2008, will be rewarded with a complimentary E.B.T. Card valued at $100.00 that will not only double as my thanks, but also as part of my Ghetto outreach/stimulus package.

VOTE JOHN MCCAIN 2008! I BELIEVE IN HELPING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS AND PLIGHT OF THE NEGRO! – GOD BLESS!

  64. NotoriousOne

@ Lauren…hey beautiful, how are you?

And a lot of people in New York are beginning to see them for what they are. These issues of police brutality and abuse of power have to be dealt w/ on a federal level in order for any serious change to take place. So Sharpton is being squeezed out of his hustle. And which is why Messy Jesse (LOL…I like that one) took his act to the federal level, so he could have a slightly longer shelf life.

  65. SoHO 2 NoHO

I swear that Lady Architect is stunning!!!!!!! But back to politics. If Obama is not president and they vote Clinton or old ***** McCain 78 y/o looking ***** in, then this country as you know it is DOOMED!!!!! Other countries are sick and tired of looking into the faces of these no good as white folks “trying” to strong arm the world with their racist, oppressive unjust political sytstem.

  66. I'm Just Me

Did this MFer say Boogey Man!! Wow! He didn’t have to word it quite like that!

  67. Lauren

@ Hollywood BS….How come “posters” like you come on Bossip and want Bossip to automatically turn in to CNN.COM because they want to keep the people informed?? I think they were merely informing us and stating their opinion and I am glad that they do. Bottom Line, if you don’t like it here, there are other sites to voice your opinion.

  68. Chillin @ Work

JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF BLK PEOPLE HOLDING OTHER BLK PEOPLE DOWN- with a stupid comment as such……!! WHy on earth would he even say that…HATING ***** moth#&*%*%ER!!

  69. Lady Architect

    SoHO 2 NoHO,

    Thanks

  70. WhatTheHell?

Y’know, this presidential race is no different than corporate America. If you’re black, you better be at least twice as good as the whites. Experience only counts for so much. Does he have a plan? Yes. Does he have leadership abilities? Yes. Has he surrounded himself with some smart and p*****ionate advisors? Yes. Does he have enough personal integrity to always take the high road? Hell Yes! What the hell else do people want? I think Hillary has proven in this campaign that SHE doesn’t measure up. I’m not a Hillary hater. She’s just run a lousy campaign.

  71. Lauren

    @ WhattheHell?

I totally agree with your comment, I’m not a Hillary hater either, because I loved me some Bill when he was in the oval. But Hillary HAS run a lousy campaign, never sticking with the issue at hand and always beating around the bush and promising promises, now the people that I speak with support Hillary ONLY because they want the ideas of Bill at hand but I honestly do not think that is what they are gonna get, people have to remember that America was in a totally different place when Bill was in office its NOT going to be like that all over again, no way no how.

  72. Detroiter4Life

    @ Lauren 1:36 post

Right……right! ;o) We all know what bossip is about and it’s a light-hearted comical way to get information which may or maynot be true. Why do people get so worked up?!

  73. Detroiter4Life

    @ Whatthe Hell

She lost me when she got caught lying about the gunfire…..not that i was go vote for her N-T-way……..(Go B-Roc) but damn if you gon lie and get caught man-up about it don’t lie even more and with a weak ***** lie at that!! ;p

  74. Anonymous

Everyone is coming out of the woodwork trying to explain why Barack is winning. It is just their opinions. I think you have to ask individuals why they are voting for him instead of guessing. Furthermore Mr. Cleaver needs to ask himself why he isn’t voting for Barack. If is solely based on experience i think we found out earlier this week that Hillary doesn’t really have that much experience.

  75. HCR's #1 Fan--It's Homecookinradio Y'all!!

    @ Bossip

What the hell is this fool talking about? Let’s talk about Hillary’s experience. This sea hag thinks sitting up under *****-silly Billy for 8 years makes her a seasoned politician. Dang you feel strongly about that, huh!? ;o)

  82. Alonzo

ok bossip shut the ***** up you guys no nothing about polotics and when anyone mentions obamas name they are racist and against black people… he said nothing about obama that was bad and yes hillary is white but hillary has done good over here in western newyork before making storys about obama learn about your poltics first and stop makin half *****ed comments about things you dont know about

  83. When I first heard that Obama was going to try and become president. I was saying that the white people would never make that happen… well I was wrong, it is kinda the other way around. RACE TRAITOR!!!!

Yes Bossip Hillary is a hag.

  84. RACE TRAITOR!!

  85. @ Lauren

I am not expecting Bossip to morph into CNN. However, if you are going to talk about something, talk with some level of expertise. Bossip should Counteract Cleaver’s accusations by showing how he has the experience, the will and the necessary credentials to run America. They shouldn’t counteract Cleaver by saying that Hilary organized tea parties when Bill Clinton’s ***** was being sucked by other women. How does that discredit Cleaver? if it does anything, it only goes to solidify Cleaver’s point on how blindly people follow Obama like sheep. Only an IDIOT would immediately jump directly to vulgar insults when accused of something. Then again Lauren, maybe I am elevating people like you and “Bossip” too high. Maybe I am considering you as “clear-thinking” “normal” people. I can see this is a misjudgment and I apologize.

  86. @ jjj

so should all black people go out and buy 5O Cent’s album because he is black? or should Nelly swiping a credit card into a black woman’s ***** because Nelly is black? or should I wear baggy trousers and speak deplorable English and adore Tupac and wear oversized T-shirts because I am black?

Some of you need to use your minds to think. Just because Obama is black doesn’t mean all blacks should support him. People have a right to their opinions and a duty to exercise their freedom of speech. I have my criteria I am looking for in a leadership and should I force myself to like Obama even if he doesn’t measure up to my standards?

Go and start an O.J Simpson fan club let me see you damn IDIOTS.

Support you who think is best!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with what you’ve said. It seems as though many a black folk have fallen into groupthink, herd mentality. Many feel the pressure to conform to Obamism that they have given up their free will (I’m not saying don’t vote for him. Just don’t feel pressured to do so). It’s okay to have an independent thought. You don’t have to follow the crowd.

  88. Bohwe

White Americans are voting for Obama because he’s qualified for the job, period. White people have already established the fact that they control the world, and everyone seeks out their approval and fight and kill each other to be the number one minority, in their eyes, so they can get the scraps. So, they don’t need to vote for Obama to prove anything, because it wouldn’t matter. That is one thing white people will never have to do, and that is prove how not racists they are, because people will still kiss their butts. White people are voting for Obama because his political agenda coincides with the America they want at this point.

And while we did have Jackson and Sharpton, Keyes run for President, they didn’t gain the popularity, because Sharpton has a history of claiming racism in america, Jackson has a history of claiming racism in America, and Keyes, not to many people know him. Obama addressed race, but he was smart enough to wait until he came close to winning the Democratic nom.

  89. sugarjude

That’s what’s wrong with black folks now!! These ‘Uncle Tom negros” always got something sideways to say about Obama because he actually has a chance at this thing. I can’t wait until voting day ‘08. Either way it goes, history is going to be made!!

  90. Speaking of hoes sitting down… Randi Rhodes just got suspended from Air America for calling both Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton ‘w*****s’ live on the air. Randi Rhodes is not the hoe — but Bossip isn’t the only one using the ‘ho’ talk. Randi is paying for it, though.

And Cleaver does say that Obama’s gonna win. I believe what Red is reporting about the true significance of what Cleaver is saying.

Given what’s happened to Governor Richardson — and how the Clintons have OUTRIGHT LIED about him and shown their own *****es by trying to get him to say that he would never endorse Obama if he wasn’t going to endorse Hillary FIVE TIMES — I’d be scared, if i were a Hillary supporter. See, Hillary is not like Richardson or Biden or the Edwards people and definitely not like Kucinich or Dodd (or Gravel). All those men are gracious about their delegates. If these men were told that a superdelegate was going to switch votes, they would have been diplomatic about it. You don’t owe them your first born child as well as your blood. Hillary is Queen ***** of Bitterness, and Bill is Worse. They’ve raised their daughter Chelsea to be just as bad.

Do we really want these people representing us?

People are afraid of the Clintons. I kind of understand some of the hankerchiefheadness, now that the Clintons true feelings about Bill Richardson have been aired. What freaks me out is that there are a number of latinos who agree with the Clintons that Richardson is the traitor, and owed the Clintons his superdelegate vote! even after what the Clintons have said about him and what Carville said about him and about Latinos.

  91. @HOLLYWOOD BS wrote, “Bossip should Counteract Cleaver’s accusations by showing how he has the experience, the will and the necessary credentials to run America. They shouldn’t counteract Cleaver by saying that Hilary organized tea parties when Bill Clinton’s ***** was being sucked by other women.”

Right. They should provide a link to her White House Papers as First Lady — which say the same thing, without the crudeness. I kid you not. You’re right, Bossip should provide more context.

  92. @GreenEyedDiva wrote, “It really irritates me when people say its such a huge accomplishment that a black man “speaks” well… wtf self hating *****…”

    you’ve got a point.

@kristi wrote, “Maybe it is rare that we speak well. Look at the grammar used in some of the post. Hell read the Khia my*****e post. The Sh(t ain’t cool anymore.”

    you have an equal point.

  93. CJ

Barak gonna win hands down Im not totally or any candidate this election but Barak is the overall choice strictly for foreign policy and he is smart enough to get the right choice of ecnomist in his cabinet.

  95. RACE TRAITORS!!!!!!!

  96. Anywhoo

This how Hillary lost the black vote. The black leadership better look out. The next election won’t be theirs.

  97. @ HOLLYWOOD BS

My comment is called an opinion… you cannot make me believe what you want.

This is not a case of that man supporting Hillary… It is what he said about Obama. It was offensive and obnoxious. PEOPLE LIKE AND VOTE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE HE HAS A PLAN AND IS FIT FOR THE JOB!… not because he is black.

  98. This man is out of line…

  99. Mr. Dee wrote, “Remember the Golden Rule Folks: if white folk like you, that means u a straight punk in the hood!!”

And look at what a *****ty mess the hood is in. I believe we need to move beyond that *****. Not all white people are the enemy. Recognize who the real enemy is, individually, and go from there. Sucking up is despicable…. but Obama sure as hell didn’t suck up to Hillary and Bill when he told her ‘I look forward to you advising me, too’ during that live debate.

Emmanuel Cleaver is a sick man. He is unwell mentally. Really. He must be. Because only a sick and mentally unwell man of any race and position would view this most historical time in American history with such vile racism and view an American pioneer with such hatred.

Mr. Emasculating Cleaver, your hate is actually a vote of encouragement and a mountaintop shout that OBAMA IS WINNING!

    Obama 2008!

    Yes We Can!

  102. RICH BOY SELLIN *****

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS- GO OBAMA.

  103. There is a subgroup of white, black, hispanic, asian etc. voters that do vote via band wagon appeal and (or) hear say. They are part of but not the total population of swing voters.

But know Obama has not cornered the market on the uninformed. Matter fact he has the most politically astute voters in all of recent history. You have to be when you choosing a candidate that’s black. In this country you can’t even hire a black head coach with out explaining yourself.

But continuing to keep it real for those that do. There are people voting for Hillary because she is woman. And others because she is a white woman.

Since America likes playing the if Obama was white hypothetical game so much, lets filter the lens and compare. Who gets more votes Obama as a white man or Hillary as a black woman. Welcome back to reality you know Geraldine and company would have been MIA…

And I am sure we all believe there aren’t any voters supporting McCain because he is old and white. Hell there are blacks voting for him because of this perception of entitled qualification. Point is Cleaver’s statements can be true of each candidate depending on who you envision when you say it.

However the majority of Americans wouldn’t just hand over the government to an unqualified candidate based on race. Although we will swear in the unqualified if they are legacy and (or) Republican. Apparently you just need a GED diploma, an unused bible and a forged National Guard service letter in the aforementioned scenario.

Bottom line there is too much on the line and every one knows it. Barack’s ahead because this is his time, he’s the best choice and his policies fit snugly with the american need. We no longer have an agenda America we have an urgent need.

But I guess the silly racist rhetoric will just have to limp to the primary finish line.

    Obama 08

Vote PA it’s not over by any means!!

  104. jena4rmthablock

That’s y i like u bossip though u have ur shananagans u likes to keep it real. They try and say Hillary has experience for being the spouse of the president. That make her no more qualified then me to start open heart surgery on someone cause my baby daddy is a surgeon! Beside there are a handful of presidents in our past who have little experience!

And what is this man talkin bout Barak is well spoken! President Bush makes up his own words and he’s been the president for 8 year, it obvious America don’t care about a good orator.

I just can’t wait to put this whole race behind us rap this ish up and let the nominee start rallying voters for the general election!

  105. jena4rmthablock

P.S. y is the media putting so much emphasis on race and gender and how they vote, but when racism rears its ugly head try and act like there is no racial divide in this country. They use race as an element when it is convenient to them.

    I’m done preaching, good nite!

  106. The Boogeyman called race exists just as much as it did fifty years ago. What has changed is the law and the governmental aspect of race relations…to some extent. Because I believe that because of race, inequality exists in America.

If many Whites could treat Blacks how they really wanted to, you and I would feel like this was 19-fifty-something.

Now, like Monotheistic Proof mentioned, there are people of all races who will vote for a presidential candidate solely based on race. I know that there are people who won’t vote for a candidate on that same basis.

Of course, that’s unwise. Barack Obama is highly qualified and will be a great president. He is the breath of fresh air that will fix the asthma attach America is about to die from.

I will not deny that many Blacks do not speak well, but the same goes for Whites. There are many articulate Blacks in America and all over the world, but they are not portrayed frequently in the media the way Lil’ Wayne and Khia are portrayed.

I hope that people who can vote for POTUS (I cannot!) will research all candidates, have open minds and turn a blind eye to race and look at each candidate for the accomplishments of each person and what they can do for America.

God Bless Africa and God bless those who are blind to the successes of Blacks despite their unfair treatment. God bless those who deny that Blacks have and continue to overcome everyday oppression by Whites in America.

Cleaver is entitled to his opinions just as I am, but I disagree to some extent. Perhaps there are Whites who want to be cool or just want to do a favor, but Barack doesn’t need favors. If I could vote, he’d earn my vote.

    OBAMA 2008

hillary clinton IS a monster! I have been working with white women for the past 5years (they are the majority, I am 1 of 7 blacks out of 80 in the workplace).

hillary clinton is stereotypical white woman. When they don’t get their way, SLANDER. They dig up stuff, make something out of nothing, overscrutinize – they do whatever they have to do to slander you, turn people against you, try to prevent you from advancing forward, try to force you out of your job. They are entertaining to watch in action; one day they will be friends with each other and later that day they will turn on each other and talk about each other like dogs.

It’s called the model minority. Most Asians are known to be p*****ive, so when they came to America, they did not protest against the unfair treatment they received. By nature, they are a meditative people, quiet, not the type to argue and make a stand. So, they became the model minority. The good minority.

Us, no no no no no! We stood up, we spoke for ourselves, we disagreed, we marched, we fought. We will never be the model minority. As long as I’m a part of our group…cuz I’m gonna speak up and a lot of us will, too.

We kill each other so we will forever be a minority group. By numbers, we can try to fix things. But, there are already too many of us making babies we cannot take care of.

But socially, that I have less faith in. We are social minorities b/c we live in White America. We’re not really Americans (I sound like Malcolm X), we just live in America or were born in America. We were thrown on US soil and have tried to *****imilate while some of us have remained “as African” as possible. But, we must try our best individually to succeed despite the obstacles set in place from birth.

I must admit that in some places it is a rarity to find Black men like Barack Obama, but they do exist…this is why some people act surprised. But Blacks have historically done great things and continue to.

But, where there is potential, nurturing is necessary to complete things. Our environments have a lot to do with shaping us and until parents do their jobs to create positive environments for their children, that potential will potentially be useless.

@L & A, I always look forward to your comments as well…even when I’m away from Bossip and I just slip in, I make sure I read your posts!

The clarity and sensitivity of your post has touched my heart. You always connect the dots and bring light. I would have to cut and paste your whole post and respond affirmatively to every line because it’s all TRUTH. Everything you wrote in your post about “model minorities” to “nurturing being needed to fulfill potential” has really moved and enlightened me today.

    Thank you friend.

And may I add that the trivial cattiness of white girls is not just trivial cattiness because the trivial cattiness of white girls is their mastered methodology of racism.

And it is real and it is dangerous. But if you call them on it, they then resort to their other fave “playing victim”. This catty racism of white girls costs folks their jobs, destroys lives, and has even throughout history gotten a lot of black men killed.

Sounds like your really in the lion’s den. I am so glad you are aware at your job so you can protect yourself the best you can. Keep keeping on!

BOSSIP IS NOT A POLI-SCI SITE!!! You support Obama, and that’s fine, he’s a fantastic candidate, but the constant Clinton bashing shows a LOT of social ignorance. Their platforms are practically identical. You are sifting through FACTS and reporting on those that fit your case, ignoring others that do not. Also you continually make false statements about Clinton. Clearly there is a lack of information. I don’t usually do the forum thing but I can’t stand this anymore! Talk about HO SIT DOWN!

Wow! I’m shocked by Cleaver’s comments on Obama. No problem with supporting Clinton…that’s his choice, but to berate, or under-mind Obama’s clear oratory skills and ability to lead? That’s just *****-made. Most of our old-head leaders hate that the younger, new breed of politician cir*****vented their ‘kiss the ring’ mentality and is positioned for greatness without any in-debtedness to them.
