So when we as young African-American men and women, both young and old(mostly geared at young teenagers and young adults) view these messages and severe WHITE GLORY advertising, we become fixated on the belief that that is the way to look and mate with so as to have that same success or lifestyle!! Since 11:00 am until now, I was at the new Nationals stadium reading essays that DC students wrote to get their dads/father figures nominated as Father of the Year. It was such a great opportunity to see how important the roles of fathers are and to read some really moving essays that these young kids wrote to express their love and gratitude for their fathers…I almost shed a tear or two.
My imposters obviously feel that in order to engage in “normal”, civil discourse, they have to assume my identity. I’ll never really understand the satisfaction they get from deceiving others. Anyway, like I said, if this is how they conduct themselves online, I can only imagine what their real lives must be like.
On a better note, the weather is finally feeling like spring, the sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day outside and I’m a happy camper today. BTW, for those of you interested in baseball and in the DC area, check out the new stadium…it’s really nice!!

I decided to focus on how the media and culture forces and views young black girls in a sexual nature at a young age and while young white girls are allowed are always portrayed as innocence or naive. It a creative nonfiction project titled, “Fast Girls: How pop culture is robbing black girls of their childhood.”
Actually one of my white professors told me about her and did a little more research about her. Sara’s story just parallels what’s going on with the stripper culture of today.

For example, when Lacy Peterson disappeared, her case made national news, but you rarely hear about the abduction, murder, or other crimes affecting sisters every day. Anyways, in France, it is really hard when you black! The only black people that are famous are basically the soccer player and Rapper/singers. We don’t have really famous black woman actually. There used to be this black girl that was in the final of our American idol (same thing exactly) and she was such a good singer and dancing etc but she was big really big, and she did not win but she is doing her thing now but i would not call her a star!! But there was some events in France because we black people are still considered as immigrate even when our grandparents were born in France. People still discruminate us because of our obvious african name when you apply for a job, or stuff like that. Arabian and Black people are willng to be treated as a regular french people. Her in America, even if people don’t really mix together (black with black, latino with latino, white with white etc…) it is kinda different because our ghettos are for all poor people. So we black and arabian habg out together since we re going to the same school, are neighbors. Ours cultures are sometimes different but we basically all african (Marocca, Algeria, Tubis etc..).
So basically, they was burning the ghettos and doing a kind of revolution but finally, i don’t even know if things are changing. Things will change hopefully but we need time. White french people are still going to ask u where ur from even if you are born in France and just go to your supposedly country once every 2 or 3 years.

It was such a great opportunity to see how important the roles of fathers are and to read some really moving essays that these young kids wrote to express their love and gratitude for their fathers…I almost shed a tear or two.
My imposters obviously feel that in order to engage in “normal”, civil discourse, they have to assume my identity. I’ll never really understand the satisfaction they get from deceiving others. Anyway, like I said, if this is how they conduct themselves online, I can only imagine what their real lives must be like.
On a better note, the weather is finally feeling like spring, the sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day outside and I’m a happy camper today. BTW, for those of you interested in baseball and in the DC area, check out the new stadium…it’s really nice!!

I know about that one. No, it’s actually two black female honor students in North Carolina. I stumbled on it doing research. I was shocked how many black women are murdered (regardless of social and economic status) in the basically the same situations as these popular white women in distress cases and in the same situations but we never hear about them.
