Saw this on the news this morning, and one of the anchors stated that this behavior is typically seen in poverty strickened households, yada yada, and that it’s very surprising that violent behavior like this is now being seen in middle to upper class households

I work with kids and I am always telling them that when they have problems with someone pull them to the side and talk to each other, especially if she was a friend. I know back in the day when people would say that a lot of us kids would shrug it off like nah we’re going to handle grown folks style. We’d go in the playground throw up our hands and see who’d win, then the next day or two and you’d forget about it and be friends again. But in retrospect the violence was not needed.Today you get in a fight and win, the next day the loser comes in with a gun. When you try and pass on some wisdom to these kids now a day they just don’t want to hear it. It’s like I’ve been there and I’ve done that so I know… then they get more and more violent and then have to face adult consequences. These are some kids who are not thinking may be I will give her a concussion and she can die, maybe I’ll nock out a tooth and she’ll choke to death, maybe I’ll cause her to have internal bleeding. Kids now days are very disrespectful and filled with rage and when not checked these things happen. There is no good excuse for what these children did and that is why people don’t feel bad when the justice system wants to lock them up.

let me tell you this behavior is not typical in black neighborhoods because we discipline our kids. This doesn’t mean we all beat our kids but for some it works. My brother and my mother have this look and that’s all it takes to get them kids in line. You don’t always have to spank your kids and they always point us out because they know that we will phsyically discipline our kids if we see the need to. I grew up on spankings and I didn’t turn around and go kill people because I was angry. I learned cause and effect- when I do x, y will happen so don’t do x.I agree a lot with what intenzemocha said- people don’t hold their kids responsible and then let them do what ever they want to. Kids imitate what they see- those girls didn’t come up with the idea to videotape them wooping that girls behind from the top of their head, they saw it in a movie.I know because one of the girls I used to babysit used to watch these crazy teen ancts movies and I think it was called Jawbreaker or something like that. When I saw the violence and the nonsence I made her turn it off even though she told me her mother lets her watch what ever she wants. These kids need to be locked up and taught a lesson.

Jolita Berry tells WBAL-TV the attack happened Friday. The chief of the Baltimore City school police told the station Tuesday he had not been notified of the attack and planned to begin an investigation.

The video of a classroom fight showed up on MySpace.com. Berry says the person being beaten is her.

She says the attack began when she told a female student to sit down and behave. As the girl’s friends cheered her on, Berry says the girl hit her in the face.

Sorry but stuff like this happens ALL the time in black communities. I remember being in middle school and a girls mom and aunt jumped her enemy in the firetower (fire escape) and mased the girl…13yrs old. Over a boy. 2 13 yr old girls…sad. But this was really bad also. I feel bad for this lil white girl. You can tell she’s obviously scared and just wants to leave. She probably never been in a fight b4. Sad. Even if she was a bully, did they really need to do all that? They couldn’t just have had a one on one outside somewhere?

It is not so funny for their families. Someone has posted their addresses and phone numbers on the internet and the girls and their have been getting death threats and harassing phone calls.

Many lawyers have been calling the injured girl’s family and offering to take her case pro bono (done without compensation)

Whatever fun they had beating up this girl, they will have many days to regret it.

This is sad. Those girls went out like a real suckers. They should’ve given her a fair one. Revenge isn’t always the answer, but what comes around goes around – ten fold. If it was my daughter, I would be rounding up all her cousins and catch each one of their asses – one by one.

Man, some of you all are really ignorant. No, the girl did not fight back, but hell – if she had hauled off and hit one of them, guaranteed the other 5 broads in the room would have been all over her and the beating would have been worse.

And…black, white, whatever – who CARES what color she is?? Either way, it’s vicious and cruel, especially since they lured her there, beat her down until she was unconscious and then when she woke up, they started beating her again! This is a child – it doesn’t matter what color she is – it’s all wrong.

And to everyone saying “this happens all the time in the black community” – well that doesn’t make it better. It’s like you’ve accepted ignorant violence amongst our children, so you don’t see the big deal when it happens to a white child. That’s messed up thinking. And yes, we’ve all seen fights before, but it’s a totally different thing to lure a girl to a house, beat her unconscious, beat her again when she wakes up and not allow her to leave the house.

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News learned Thursday that prosecutors will charge the seven Polk County girls at the center of a violent beating as adults.

The group is accused of attacking a 16-year-old girl and recording the act so they could post it on the Internet. They’ll now face battery and kidnapping charges as adults and the kidnapping charge could be punishable with life in prison.

Three of the girls were also charged with tampering with a witness.

The suspect’s first appearances in court are set for Friday afternoon.

I thought it was Black girls who were supposed to be violent. Um…..I guess all that black dick these hefers get has been making them ghetto. Aw… the white folks must be so proud.

Teenager Beaten By Other Teens

Shocking – I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Sheriff Grady Judd as he described the

video of a Felony Battery that occurred on March 30, 2008, at 6124 West Calendar Court,

Lakeland, in which six female juveniles attacked a 16-year-old victim while one juvenile male and one adult male stood outside as “look-outs.” “They lured her into the home for express purpose of filming the attack and posting it on the Internet. This is outrageous behavior.”

The victim, a 16-year-old Lakeland resident, was staying at the home of one of her attackers, Mercades Nichols, DOB 1/24/1991, during spring break. At approximately 8:00 pm, the victim arrived at the residence and was met by Nichols, and Brittini Hardcastle, DOB 9/10/1990, 1242 Thomasville Circle, Lakeland, who both began yelling at the victim and threatening her.

The victim went into a bedroom and was met by April Cooper, DOB 6/12/1993, 1111 West

Greenwood Street, Lakeland, who began insulting and threatening her. Cooper, who had

been hiding, then struck the victim several times in the face, and slammed the victim’s head

into the bedroom wall, knocking the victim unconscious as others were videotaping.

When the victim awoke, she was on the couch in the living room surrounded by Cooper,

Nichols, Hardcastle, Cara Murphy, DOB, 01/02/1992, 2762 Highlands Creek Drive, Lakeland, Britney Mayes, DOB 01/20/1991, 1111 West Greenwood Street, Lakeland, and Kayla Hassell, DOB 10/13/1992, 4575 Old Colony Road, Mulberry.

The victim said it was at that time that all of the suspects began hitting and yelling at her while it was being video taped. At one point in the video, it is plain to see that the suspects blocked the victim from leaving the residence.

During the incident, two additional suspects, Zachary Ashley, DOB 3/11/1991, 6116

Calendar Court West, Lakeland, and Stephen Schumaker, DOB 10/20/1989, 6020

Calendar Court, Lakeland, acted as “look-outs” while the attack was occurring.

After the attack was over, three of the suspects forced the victim into a vehicle and drove

her to another location where she was finally released with a threat from the suspects

warning her not to contact law enforcement or she would be beaten even worse.

Once at a friend’s home, she called law enforcement and was transported to Lakeland

Regional Medical Center by ambulance for injuries sustained as a result of the beating.

On the video, the teenage victim can be seen being beaten while the suspects video

taped the crime, laughed, and encouraged one another to hurt the victim. All of the

juvenile suspects were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center without further

incident. The single adult, Schumaker was taken to the Polk County Jail. All suspects

were charged with Felony Battery and False Imprisonment.

Mayes, Hardcastle, and Nichols are the three juvenile suspects who forced the victim into

the vehicle and drove the victim to another location. They are charged additionally with

Felony Kidnapping.

This is why I would not hang out with ugly girls back in school, and this is why I don’t hang out with ugly women now. This girl is (was) way prettier than these skanks that did this to her, and the sad truth of the matter is that some (not all) ugly chicks love to victimize pretty chicks. If you know a pretty young girl, warn her about ugly women. It will be the best lesson you ever teach her.
