God is good! That’s wonderful news – though most of us who are aware of her problems, don’t know her personally, most are aware of the devastation that often times destroys familys because of mental health issues/and or drug addiction.
My prayers go out to her and I hope she’s able to live a productive and happy life.

As for Maia looking lost, yes she did..but we’ve all lost ourselves at some point. Although, when she was roasting dude, she didn’t sound as dumb as I would think she would. Crazy? Yes. Dumb? Not really. =/ So I know she got it in her to rise.

I really hope she gets better soon. Being in the spotlight seems to have this affect on so many celebrities.

this weekend my frineds and i were speaking of this and we came to the conclusion that somebody is gona get help for her!! no one is gonna let her go out like that. and sure nuff……those prayers came rolling in and so did the love!!!! its gonna be real hard but its a start! i’ll keep praying for u ma!!

She is in my PRAYERS. I have a friend who has bi-polar and it’s definitely not a joke. The stuff we’ve been through and she doesn’t even do recreational drugs. So the mix of recreational drugs with bi-polar, you got trouble on your hands. My Prayers go out to her Family and her. Like they say “Just keep coming” or going in her case.

Re-read the previous article. She was already diagnosed before she used drugs and was on medication. Her mother died and she went into a depression.

But, when her mother died a few years ago she completely fell off the wagon and experienced severe depression along with the sickness which caused her to stop taking her meds and go on drug binges. How can a person who is sick be held accountable for something they can’t control at the moment? That’s why family and friends stepped in and got her in treatment!

Regardless of when she was diagnosed or started using drugs this woman is SICK and there is no denying that fact! You better hope nothing life changing/threatening ever happens to you because you’re the type of person who has zero compassion or empathy for others but will expect the compassion and understanding to come pouring upon you in your time of need. Just so you’ll know, I’ve got two more chemotherapy treatments then surgery. In the meantime, the mass has shrunk to about half the original size.

Knowing that makes going through the brutality of the side effects more bearable.

Men and women are to be taken advantage of. It goes both ways and I don’t have much sympathy for this young lady. Taking your meds for mental illness or any disorder is a personal decision. I read you mention you battle with cancer and you take the responsibility to follow medical orders. A psychiatrist provided her with meds and she voluntarily elected to disregard them so you see the side effects much like your condition would likely worsen if you stopped seeking treatment. God bless you by the way!

LOL…..how you doing pretty. Haven’t spoke to you in a while. Yeah, I’m good…in class bored. I’m back at school…..I didn’t make it home over labor day weekend so I’m not in a good mood. I probably won’t make it back home until the last weekend in October for Halloween.

@Kigali (The Real One) – Crazy people don’t take their meds because they’re CRAZY. It’s not a decision like changing hats. The problem is that they feel normal when they are on the meds, and then (because lots of times, they really aren’t rational) they think, there is nothing wrong w/ me, I don’t need it. Perhaps she wouldn’t be out there like that if she didn’t smoke dope, but more than likely, she probably would, because she still has a mental illness. Most times, I can’t tell the difference from a mentally ill person and a dope fiend, especially in urban areas.

I guess OJ Simpson needs to hire her public relations team so he can get out of prison. All he has to do according to you all is say he was depressed because his wife was murdered and then he spiraled into a depression where he eventually forgot to take his meds which led him to participate in an armed robbery.

I think his name was Grand Puba (something like that)She was so beautiful and he was so ugly and ghetto. I figured she was one of those chicks that liked hoodrats. I think she was attending Spelman at that time. I just remember her pretty smile and long black hair. I pray that everything works out for her.

being Bi-polar is a serious illness and when they do nto take their meds they really can not exist. I am glad she is getting help and with the grace of God she will be ok.
