Bossip was in the house at the opening night showing of Big Boi’s ballet production in Atlanta. We spotted new Bad Boy recruit Janelle Monae on the red carpet sporting a tutu in her usual unusual fashion.
Actually, this was Janelle’s costume for her performance in the show, but she worked it on the carpet too. We think she’s adorable, but… Are You Feelin’ This Get Up??

For a ballet, I like the outfit. I mean- she’s dressed in the spirit of the event. I don’t like those particular tights with the tutu and maybe the ballet slippers weren’t the best choice for foot wear. Beautiful crystal or rhinestone sandals would’ve been nice to me.

Wearing the outfit after the show is a clear cry for attention. But whatever. She’s gotta do what she’s gotta do to get some media.

First of all, I’m black, click my name. Second of all, stop being so sensitive. It was my opinion of her outfit, you have yours. Her outfit has a more urban appeal to it, not something you would see in something like the Nutcracker. Is that better?

Have y’all seen her during any other event? Her outfits are always questionable. Im all for being new, fresh and different. But to me her whole demeanor seems too contrived.
