Bill Maher is riding on Obama and the democrats…

On “Real Time” Friday night, host Bill Maher closed his show with some sharp words for the Obama administration with regards to how they have responded to criticism from figures such as Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. Maher called the White House “cowards” for allowing Van Jones to resign following a series of right-wing attacks and for capitulating to those who complained about the nature of Obama’s back-to-school speech.

“The Democrats just never learn. Americans don’t really care which side of an issue you’re on as long as you don’t act like pussies,” Maher said. Maher then criticized Obama for trying to win over those who vehemently disagree with him, insisting that the president should instead “stand up for the 70 percent of Americans who aren’t crazy. When are we going to actually show up in all this,” Maher said.

Damn, this guy really used to fu*k and suck that ho-bagger extraordinaire Superhead. Poor thang.

    He’s right though. They shouldn’t have let that dude resign, and the white house really needs to start standing up to those right winged nuts.

  • Amaysing1

    The real question here is “Can you smell me”

  • QUICK SIN

    Yeah he is punking out, he shouldn’t have bailed out the Auto Makers or Big Banks and Credit Card Co.. If he doesn’t push this Health Care Issue threw, I’m done with him. He’s would be as pointless as the last Pres. to me.

  • brnhornet

    Bill is right

  • Crank That

    Agreed.

  • Go To Hell

    F@#k him!! What does he know about politics? He’s too busy screwing ole girl to know what’s really going on…besides, Superhead knows more about politics than he does. Who cares if it’s really not true

  • Gypsy

    Bill has a point, the Obama needs to order his people and the DNC to put their boot on the necks of the Republicans.
    Don’t make any deals with these Republicans he needs to work hard to get the Remaining Republican out of office, out of America.

  • Rattlergirl

    Bill Mahar is very much FOR Obama and supported him throughout his campaign. I happen to agree with him. He just wants Obama to step up and take the lead and F*ck what Republicans and anyone else thinks. We didn’t vote for Obama to be bipartisan. We voted for CHANGE. Take the lead Obama.

  • Diddle

    To the poster above. What measure do you believe should have been taken, since you believe the bailouts were wrong? Especially now since all major players in the finance industry are saying that we are finally pulling gout of the recession?

    However I get what Bill Mahar is saying. The democrates really need to start directly calling out ALL politicians that are outfight LYING and intentionally SKEWING FACTS about the admistrations bills/messages. We have to know the truth before we can support any side.

    This helps no one. It’s sad because there are just as many Republicans that need adequate health care as there are democrats.

  • Black

    I KNEW SOME CLOWN WOULD JUMP ON HERE AND DEFEND OBAMA…. DAMN PROGAMMED MONKEY. OBAMA COULD KILL EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD AND IF THE LAST PERSON ALIVE WAS A NEGRO THE NEGRO WOULD STILL HAVE ON ONE OF THEM “HOPE” “CHANGE” OBAMA T SHIRTS!!!

  • Black

    POLITICS IS MUCH LIKE THE WWF THEY GO AGAINST EACHOTHER ON SCREEN THEN LAUGH AT YOU IGNORANT ASSES IN THE CROWD CHEERING WHEN THE DAY IS OVER

  • Evil-Seeker

    @gypsy
    I agree don’t appease the Republicans they are evil vampires we need to drive a stake through their hearts.

  • Evil-Seeker

    I am not defending Obama but I know the Republicans and conservative are evil and want to to see Black people dead.
    Republicans have forever been anti-blacks and will try everything to destroy the Black man and his family

  • Gypsy

    @Black
    We have to support Obama and the Democrats, because if we don’t then those people who want to exterminate the African-American population wins.
    You should see the racist letters the Republicans are circulating about Obama and about Black people, one of my white friends keep forwarding them to me, to show me how hateful these Republicans are.

  • Evil-Seeker

    @Jamillah, I totally agree with you.

    I want to go one step further and suggest that if we launch a voting drive in the South, we could get a lot of Southern Blacks interested in voting and that would sweep out all the Southern city Republicans, both Senators and Congresspeople, then Obama would not have to talk to any Republican when he needs to fix America.
    Too many Blacks in the south don’t vote and that’s why we still have so many Republicans.

  • Gypsy

    @B. Please,
    After Obama’s 8yrs we will have your revolution I promise.

  • SHAMAR FROM THE M TOWN

    i think in his second term he gone think differently because bill is 100 percent rt Obama has bowed down a little too much for my taste trying to please them white folks all he has to do is do his job and dont worry what they say if he is doing a good job it will not go unnoticed especially when money is involved

  • Gypsy

    Then if we all agree, LETS HAVE A VOTING REGISTRATION CAMPAIGN IN THE SOUTH!!!!!!!! LET’S SWEEP OUT THE REMAINING REPUBLICANS!! then Obama will have no excuse than to do the people’s business.

  • thatbrutha

    GET EM BILL!

  • White Devil

    Obama got elected because he portrayed himself as center left. The Republicans under Bush seemed like extremists. If Obama ignores public opinion and goes of the deep left end, he will be a one term president. Republicans would love for him to follow Bill Maher’s advice.

  • White Devil

    Van Jones supported Mumia Abu Jamal, called himself a communist and believed that 911 was a government conspiracy. You would be hard pressed to find 70% of Americans who would agree with those sentiments.

  • WhatEVER

    Bill is spot-on with his criticism!

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    “until I saw those Animals at the Town Hall and I realized that these people really Hate America and were willing to destroy America to ensure that the Black guy in charge fail.”

    These are the same people who are in D.C. today for the tea party protest, and they are seething with rage. A friend and I were in D.C. last night and ran into a crowd of them near Chinatown, and it was not pretty.

    I feel that something awful may happen. They were yelling “USA” (like they’re the only “true” Americans) and claimed that Obama is a “liar” (and what is Bush?). Yet when asked directly what Obama “lied” about, they couldn’t provide a coherent response. They couldn’t articulate their grievances — they’re just angry, and they won’t admit the real source of their anger — their own racism. It was so disturbing.

    I think we will continue to see further polarization, and I’m not sure where that will lead, but it can’t lead to anything good.

  • Evil-Seeker

    That’s really screwed up son:)
    That some people would want to destroy their country because they hate African-Americans so much.
    It looks to me as if, when you meet a Democrat it’s a fifty-fifty change that they hates Black people, but if you meet a Republican there is a 100% chance that they hate Black people. it’s so sad.

  • dayg715

    wow, political advice from a cracker that once dated superhead. SMH…

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    When you have a group of people who already feel disenfranchised (many of these protesters appear to come from a certain class) and then you pile on the fear of their “power” being further eroded by the presence of a black man in the Oval Office, coupled with a debilitating recession, it’s a powder keg situation waiting to explode. I think we’re reaching that point.

    I listen to some of the rhetoric being used, and it’s carefully coded language. “We want to take our country back.” “We’re afraid of where our country is heading.”

    The nuances are frightening and pointedly divisive. It’s “us” versus “them.”

  • Gypsy

    @Sydney,
    Don’t be too concerned they are the Lunatic fringe, the majority of Americans are not going to allow the crazies to set the agenda.
    We need to show the rest of America how much of a lunatic fringe these Wild-Animals are.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @Gypsy

    Oh, I’m not concerned about them setting the agenda. I’m concerned about them resorting to violence to express their rage. My friend found one of their websites, and some of them are calling for a new civil war. When you combine anger with ignorance, it’s a recipe for disaster.

    All we have to do is flip through the pages of history to see what the “lunatic fringe” is capable of — Oklahoma City bombing, the Birmingham church bombing that killed four little girls in the 1960s, the murders of civil rights workers in Mississippi, etc., etc.

    I saw the anger for myself last night, and the unbridled rage was palpable.

  • Sara

    Whatever. I voted for Obama for one reason only. He was the best out of the worst group of candidates I have ever seen. I don’t trust him at all. Everything he says is a damn lie and of course black folks follow him blindly. The only black person who will improve their circumstances due to Obama is Obama himself. The rest of us will continue to be screwed. He is just like all the rest of them, out for himself, to hell with everyone else.

  • Gypsy

    @ Sara don’t worry the Republicans are worse, see them now in DC acting like Wild-Animals. We have no choice but to support Obama and the Democrats as the only civilized solution to america’s problem.
    At least the Democrats don’t hate Blacks.

  • Gypsy

    @Sydney,
    If the Obama Administration isn’t ready to clamp down on those Animals, we will just have to find a different way, a citizen Militia and keep Gitmo open for those traitors.

  • Wait A Minute

    Bill was told the truth last night. Don’t get it twisted he is riding with Obama, but real recognize real! I agree at times I feel Obama is trying to get the right wing to be on side, but what I loved about what bill said “When the right wing didn’t want their children hearing President Obama’s speech education EDUCATION, he should have pulled schools funding for education and made the schools fund it”. It something of that sense another Bill Maher quote “On the eighth anniversary of 9/11, Americans stopped, as they should, and reflected, whatever they were doing, just to sit there, reflect, do nothing, say nothing – just like Bush did eight years ago when he got the news.”!!! Gotta love Bill!!!

  • Wait A Minute

    Typo*** Bill told the truth

  • Doc

    “we want to take our country back.” or the “real americans” those are coded words the rethugs use. as a man of color it concerned me for the POTUS because they think there’s a war coming they feel like their country has been taken from them. WHITES ARE CRAZY THEY DONT THINK TWICE TO DO SOMENTHING STUPID! But if one them touch are POTUS there will be blood runing in this coutry. and i wll be they blood.

  • Gypsy

    As things are playing out now Blacks and Hispanics have to support Obama and make sure the Republicans/Conservatives never gain power as they have a plan to destroy minorities. I got an email to that effect, forwarded to me from a Republican who thinks I am White and thinks like him, he got the wrong email address.
    They hate Hispanics as much as they hate Blacks

  • Gypsy

    I’m with you Doc. There will be blood in the streets.
    The Republicans want a revolution, well, touch POTUS and we’ll give them a revolution.

  • Wait A Minute

    Yep, the attack and blacks and Hispanics!!! Not all white people are prejudice, but majority are!!! LONG WAYS TO GO!!!

  • Keisha2doll

    I agree 100% with Bill Maher!!!

  • Check Mate

    What Democratic congressmen do to their women staffers, Republican congressmen do to the country. We have the Bill of Rights. What we need is a Bill of Responsibilities. Bill Maher

  • white male

    @Evil seeker

    The head of the GOP is black. Bush also was the first to have a black secretary of state

  • Gypsy

    I am not a leftist but I would rather be a leftist than to be a racist right-wing bigot, acting like a wild-animal.
    Thems the choice we have be on the Lunatic fringe acting like a “Wild-Animal” or be a leftist – Then call me a leftist.

  • Gypsy

    @White Male –
    Whites have always found some idiot Black man to get in front of TV to “he ain’t a racist, he’s the masta, he just don’t like uppity Blacks”.
    As usual the cowards put up a Black face to hide their racist hate behind.

  • Gypsy

    @White Male –
    I see some of the hateful anti-Blacks and Anti-Hispanic email you guys are circulating.
    I know you would rather that America perish than to be lead by a Black person, I see it in your email.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    I think it’s well known that Michael Steele has very little power and probably wouldn’t be in his current position if Obama wasn’t in office. Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck have more pull among Republicans. The moment Steele acquiesced to Limbaugh is when he showed who really is the face of power in the GOP.

    “What do you call a person thats not a part of the left or a right or what would they be considered?”

    That sounds like an Independent or a Moderate to me.

  • Gypsy

    I am not a hater BUT! I really hate people who are anti-American, who talk down America and want to see America fail because there is a Black guy in charge. I call those people traitors and am then willing to take a bat to a skull when they begin their anti-American demonstrations, like the old days.
    I LOVE AMERICA!!! AND WILL DEFEND IT AGAINST ENEMIES FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC – be warned Right-Wing Lunatics, Blacks will defend this country.

  • White Devil

    @ Check mate

    There are many political parties and most people probably don’t agree with all of the positions their party takes. People associate with the Democrats or the Republicans because, while they don’t agree with all of the positions their party takes, they agree with them more than the other party. Other countries have systems that are less “winner take all.” In many countries, minority parties have some representatives in parliament and the larger parties have to work with them. That way a person who supports say the Green Party or the Libertarian party does not have to consider a vote for their party to be wasted.

  • Gypsy

    Some of those Obama-Haters will be still milling around like stragglers in Washington DC tonight, I wonder what will happen to them in the heart of a Black city at night when the cameras are gone. – Wouldn’t wanna be them.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Gypsy andy black person that defends this country is out of their damn mine, Why would you fight for a country that hates you? That is just dumb. My dad fought for this country and came back to this country just to be discriminated against and called a ni@@er and we still are disrespected and not excepted to this day, so why in the world would you fight to keep getting mistreated?

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @Gypsy

    “I wonder what will happen to them in the heart of a Black city at night when the cameras are gone.”

    Well, as ignorant as they are, I don’t think they’re crazy enough to venture into SE screaming “USA” with their posters of Obama with the Hitler moustache and the Joker makeup. They may be homicidal, but not suicidal.

  • Gypsy

    Because this is the closest we will ever come to changing this country and making it a better place for all Americans.
    Blacks have always been very patriotic, and still been disrespected, so look on TV at the Town Halls and the Anti-Obama/America demonastration and realize that those are the people disrespecting Blacks, and when they win Blacks lose, so we need to realize that they are a domestic enemy that we need to fight against to preserve the “American Dream” for ALL americans

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAAAP!!!!

    Hi, Syd!

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    *all she saw were*

    @Awww

    I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of Joe Wilson.

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAAAP!!!!

    Sydney, do you think President Obama was right to accept his apology or should he have sought disciplinary actions?

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @Awww

    I understand President Obama’s position on wanting to move forward. The more time is spent on this little racist man from S.C., the more attention is being diverted from the real issue of health care. I, unfortunately, missed most of his speech today in Minnesota, but, apparently, he gave rousing remarks in support of health care reform.

    I was startled by the reported increase of the number of uninsured Americans in this country. It’s highly ironic to me that some of the president’s most vocal detractors are in the group he aims to assist.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Gypsy. What is the American Dream? The American Dream is just what it says a dream. Rather than looking at a dream of America lets look at the Reality of America. Hatred for blacks thats not going to change if it was the bible would not prophecy of this nation being destroyed.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    Awww, I believe President Obama is very skilled in stepping over minutiae in pursuit of the larger goal.

    @Gypsy

    “That is the myth within the primarily uneducated White community that Blacks are Illiterate and incapable of basic thought.”

    Yes, that’s the sad irony of racism. This woman stood before two black women, both of whom hold graduate degrees and one who worked in a newsroom for several years, and assumed that we were inferior.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    And we both keep up with the news religiously.

  • Gypsy

    @Sydney
    I was startled by the reported increase of the number of uninsured Americans in this country. It’s highly ironic to me that some of the president’s most vocal detractors are in the group he aims to assist.

    Well put, well articulated. During the Clinton Health Plan days there we many opposing who in later years stated that they were now without Health insurance and regretted their opposition.

    @Aint Afraid To Say It –
    Some say the glass is half empty, I say half full – We can and will create a new and better “American Dream” for us and most of all our children.
    Presently we have a visionary as president and that presents the best opportunity to build this new “American Dream”. be optimistic.

  • http://bossip Lisa

    @Black
    LOL

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    Please Black people stop looking at Obama like he is our savior, he is not! He himself distances himself away from us. What do you think he is saying when he says my father is Kenyan and my mother is German? Nothing has changed for us since he has been in office and 4 years from now I guarantee you that things will be the same or worse for blacks. Lets look at all the blacks that have been murdered by police since he’s been in office and he has not spoken out about it, along with other things So Please stop fooling yourselves in thinking that this man gives a damn about us.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @Awww

    What do you think President Obama should have done?

  • C.R.E.A.M.

    @Ain’t afraid to say it
    What measures would you like to see President Obama enact that would put Blacks in a better position in 8 years?

  • Gypsy

    @Aint Afraid To Say It –

    It either Obama or the Republican Hate-Mongers.
    I choose Obama.

    We need to organize the Southern Blacks to vote so we can get more of the Republicans out of Congress and the Senate, so we can become the power brokers of Washington. Then we tell President Obama ignore the Conservatives and do only what we want.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    *why they think*

  • White Devil

    @ Sydney

    I read your postings on here and I can tell that you are very intelligent and knowledgeable. As pissed as you are when the people you described talk down to you, don’t you relish the opportunity to put people like that in their place?

  • Gypsy

    Do you folks realize that the vast majority of Blacks in the South don’t vote? If they were to vote the South would be primarily Democratic.
    I only hope they see those “Wild-animals” on TV and that Joe Wilson Hate and get out and vote those Republican bastards out of office.

  • Mr. Man

    @Gypsy
    But you have to give black folks in the South credit for what they did in 2008. They came out in record numbers, especially during the primary season. They give Obama a much needed boost in South Carolina after he lost to Hillary in New Hampshire. And they helped put states like Virginia in play. We can do better, but give credit where credit is due.

  • Gypsy

    @Mr. Man –
    You’re right and I do give credit, but if I remember right they said only 37% of Southern Blacks voted of all Southern Blacks of voting age, so Imagine if we got 70%? We would rule the South.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @White Devil

    Thanks, I read your posts as well.

    “As pissed as you are when the people you described talk down to you, don’t you relish the opportunity to put people like that in their place?”

    I was very angry last night — I was also called a “bi*ch” last night by one of the women — and I used some choice terms of my own. It got really ugly. But what my friend and I talked about afterwards was the complete futility of penetrating the minds of people who are deadset in their views. It didn’t matter what either of us said — in their minds, we didn’t matter.

    My mom took a class a while ago on the roots of racism, and she has shared insights with me on how certain views on race and ethnicity are formed. The people I saw last night have already formed their perception of reality — They see themselves as “real” Americans whose nation is in trouble, and they place the blame squarely on the shoulders of President Obama. But they reject the suggestion that race in any way, shape, or form has influenced their viewpoints. At the heart of their beliefs is the perception that they are being threatened, and the idea that people who don’t look like them are the enemy.

    I’m not sure how to combat such ingrained antipathy.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @ Cream We have over 10,000 black politicains from city council, aldermans, state representatives, congressmen, etc. But nothing has changed for us as a community we voted them in and what has changed? Nothing. Obama’s job is to get us as black people to accept this chip to keep a.k.a mark of the beast, because if He says it’s ok and a new way of life we will accept it. It was a poll question about 7 years ago that they polled black people on and the question was would you accept a chip in your body as a new way of buying and selling if it was implemented by the government? Unsurprisingly 92% of the blacks said No. Now if you have someone in office that looks like you of course many will believe what this man says. Obama just had an opportunity to put a black another black on the Supreme court, did he No. We stick up for him but he’s not sticking up for us.

    @Gypsy I see you have faith in this demonic system. I stopped voting and i will never vote and i will encourage black people not to vote because it is all set up any way. Robert Kennedy told us in 1968 that in 40 years we will have a Negro President in Office.
    40 years later we have Obama and I don’t believe that Robert Kennedy was a phrophet I believe he knew something that the rest of us don’t know.

  • Mr. Man

    @Mr. Man–I think in time we can do it. I think it would help if average people understood how public policy affects their lives directly. A great start is to get involved in local politics because there is more tangible effects on every day life.

  • Mr. Man

    supposed to be @Gypsy–i’m doing like 42 things at once right now lol

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    Actually, I think “enmity” is a better word to describe the sentiments of a number of protesters. It also bothered me that they picked a national day of mourning, 9/11, to bring their vitriol to the nation’s capital.

    @Awww

    “Anyway, Hill said that two things which will serve you well through life are ‘kindness and character’ with which I totally agree. I wish more Black men had that Hill Harper presence.”

    I’ve been reading more and more about Hill Harper, and I love what he’s doing in terms of speaking out on issues of relevance to our community.

    Yes, President Obama is a very measured leader, and he wouldn’t have gotten this far if he had reacted to all the slights that others made against him along the way. His temperament has enabled to rise above the fray, and I think that angers his detractors even more. They want him to become the “angry black man,” and he refuses to deviate from his distinguished sense of decorum. And that’s how he reminds people that he IS the POTUS.

    People like Rep. Wilson cannot stand to see a black man like the president. They can’t place him in a stereotypical category, and it angers them that much more.

  • Mr. Man

    @Tina
    Damn, tell them why you really mad, son!

  • Gypsy

    Aint Afraid To Say It –

    You sound like one of those Town Hall Lunatics. Blacks will vote in greater and greater numbers now that they see their vote can be a winner, like helping to vote in a President.
    Republicans are in trouble because the Black and Hispanic minorities are forming new bonds and make power sharing deals for the cities of America.
    If you are a White person who loves America and Americans of all hue then there is no concern, but if you are like those “Rabid-Animals” we see at the Town halls and now in DC then be “very afraid.

  • Gypsy

    I can agree with Republicans on one think, when they ban abortion White women will be able to travel to Canada/Mexico and other States to get their abortion Blacks and Hispanics will then have a huge birth boost that will resume what we were doing in the 70s and 80s, the Browning of America. Remember our pastors/preachers were against abortion because it limits the Black race, well they were right, so we need to let the Republicans win this one, it’s the best way to kill racism, become the majority.

  • Mr. Man

    @ain’t afraid to say it
    But what are these changes that you’d like to see? Improved access to healthcare is going to help black folks. We also need jobs and better education, but that’s a much harder, longer uphill battle.

    Lots and lots of black folks won’t even be qualified for the jobs that are going to be created once this recession ends. Obviously in the long run, better education will increase the numbers of blacks who are qualified for “21st century” jobs, but we also have to combat an anti-intellectual culture. And it’s not just Black folks, all of America is becoming more anti-intellectual.

    So I ask you again, what specifically would YOU like to see change?

  • Illuminate Truth “The Strong Rule the Weak, and the Wise Rule the Strong.”

    I happen to agree with Bill Maher on the Van Jones resignation. When will somebody in government grow a pair and demand answers to the obvious lie that is 9/11 like:

    Why is it that our own military trains the best pilots in the world and even THEY admit they could not have done the maneuvers needed to fly a jumbo jet into the side of a building at full throttle.

    Why was the biggest crime scene in American history cleaned up before the debris could be tested? (Not to mention the body parts of victims still being found in land fills). Where was the “yellow tape”? How in the hell did FEMA get there so fast…in about an hour. Where was the immediate response time when a disaster happened you actually knew was coming (hurricane Katrina)…assuming you knew nothing about 9/11.

    And the pentagon……where do you start? How about at “Where the hell is the plane?!”. Explain how a plane could fly damn near at ground level (another maneuver a top gun pilot could not complete….by their own admission), and somehow not char the grass in front of the impact point. Why did the impact point contain desks with papers still neatly sitting on top of them? Wouldn’t those papers have been burnt or at least blown off of the desks at the immediate impact of a jet?

    We just got finished praising a pilot (and we should) for safely landing a plane in the Hudson. It was talked about how difficult a maneuver it was just to get that plane to land in an area that was safe….in a big river. Somehow, we still buy the story that some guys took one lesson in a single engine prop plane and were able to guide a plane into the sides of buildings on one try….wake up people. We should all be ashamed Van Jones had to resign….we should ALL be calling the government to task on 9/11.

    Instead we hate Arabs because they “hate our freedom”….smh. We are sheep.

  • Gypsy

    @Aint Afraid To Say It
    I repeat!

    “I stopped voting and i will never vote and i will encourage black people not to vote because it is all set up any way.”

    I just saw this. Are you serious? I cannot comprehend why any black person who can vote does not exercise that right. People put their lives on their line — and a number were injured and killed — so we could vote.

    Last year, record numbers of African Americans voted (I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but they’re easy to find on a number of news/political sites), but more than that, people across the board, from Hispanics (who have voted for Republicans in large numbers in the past but went blue in the last election) to younger voters to voters in traditionally red states, such as Florida and Virginia, turned out to vote for President Obama.

    In 2012, we need to get out and vote again. Rest assured, it’s going to be a battle, and the Republicans already have a game plan in place.

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    Hi Ill!

  • Gypsy

    @Mr. Man
    The character Aint Afraid To Say It” showed his true colors when he advised Blacks not to vote. He is one of those Republican plants who think Blacks are so stupid that they will easily be confused by his diatribe.
    sir, you like your ilks think Blacks are so stupid that they will be hypnotized by your third grade comments.

  • Mr. Man

    @Aint afraid
    This is the system we got. We either gotta work within the system, move, or start a revolution. Personally, I’d rather make love than war, and I like America despite all its flaws. So to me, we gotta work within the system to bring change.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Sydney PEOPLE DID NOT DIE OR GET INJURED SO WE COULD VOTE. THEY DIED BECAUSE A RACIST KILLED THEM!!!
    NOW THATS REALITY FOR YOUR ASS.

  • Mr. Man

    @Sydney
    We need to get out in vote in 2012, but more immediately we need to vote in 2010!!! You know the Republicans want their seats back.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    STOP WASTING YOUR TIME VOTING IT CHANGES NOTHING EXECPT THE PERSON IN OFFICE. THE SYSTEM IS STILL THE SAME.

  • Gypsy

    What I like is that the more the Republicans send their spies to mess with us is the more politically aware we become and the more resolute we are to destroy them at the next election. It’s 2010 RepubThugs see you there.

  • Mr. Man

    @Ain’t afraid
    Nothing you ever say can convince me not to vote. My direct ancestors have fought in the Civil War for my freedom, and marched (and died) for my right to vote.

    I don’t take either for granted.

  • Mr. Man

    @sepia
    lol! this season was kinda lame. I think that Bill Maher never quite recovered from when his show in ABC was canceled and he’s been fighting against he establishment so hard that now he’s kinda losin it.

  • Gypsy

    @Aint Afraid To Say It -

    I am a believer and will be soon in the South on a get out the vote campaign for 2010 and 2012.
    I can already hear the announcer in the 2012 election ” The polls say President Obama will win the States he won in 2008 BUT! will he be able to win more Southern States or will he fail to win more than 45 of the 50 States?”

  • THE BAPHOMET TRUTH

    WE ARE LEGION, WE ARE FOREVER, WE ARE BAPHOMET!

  • Gypsy

    People every time the GOP sends a spy to the Blogs to stir up Obama hate, you need to let that but the push you get your neighbor Black or White to vote for a Democrat, and volunteer your time to the get out the vote for the Black community, we are the new powerbase.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Gypsy If Obama does win in 2012 which he probably will. You won’t have nothing to do with it because it is already been thought out So you don’t have to waste your time because the illuminate has already taken care of that. But if you want to feel like you’ve done something that already is in the making to make you feel good about yourself go ahead waste your time and campaign.

    These people are complete nutcases.

  • Mr. Man

    @sydney
    Yea it’s C.R.E.A.M. on my laptop but i’m on my desktop right now.

    I got into it with the 9/12ers too last night. I’m staying indoors today lol

  • Sydney™ (. . .the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die)

    @Mr. Man

    “I got into it with the 9/12ers too last night. I’m staying indoors today lol”

    That’s hilarious. Where did you run into them? There was a crowd of them last night on the site of the old convention center where that big parking lot is now. It was so weird — they stood out like sore thumbs.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Mr Man you just said you’ll take your way of life over your ancestors, You said a key word TAKE, and thats exactly what we do Take what the government gives us. They give us housing we take it, they give us food stamps we take it, they give us a black president a.k.a. false hope for our lives and we take it, they give us a little so called freedom and we take it, your not free until your free mentally and if you have hope in a lie then you are not free you are decieved, just like the blacks that vote and think things will be different, just like those who think that if they love this country and its ways that it will in turn love us, just like the 115 year old lady that just died was happy to have lived to see a black president which means nothing if he is not in control of what he does. Bill Maher was right about Obama but keep in mind Obama knows his place and who he truly works for and you best believe that he will not get out of line like John and Robert Kennedy did.

  • Mr. Man

    @Ain’t afraid
    Believe me, I understand where your sentiment is coming from, I just choose to live my life differently. I actively try to be less cynical because when i’m at my most cynical, I’m also at my least happy.

    Since you are (I assume) an American, what are you going to do to change this whole system other than complain? What can you do?

  • Illuminate Truth “The Strong Rule the Weak, and the Wise Rule the Strong.”

    “These people are complete nutcases.”

    @ Syd

    I saw a bumper sticker on a car yesterday (amongst multiple ones displaying anti-Obama rhetoric) that read simply:

    “I will give YOUR president the same respect you gave to MINES”

    (capitalization not done for effect…that is how it was written)

    I thought the racial overtone in the verbiage was unmistakable. Most of the anti-Obamites are just purely against him because of the color of his skin. It isn’t on policy, because the majority of them wouldn’t know policy if it bit them in the ass. The bumper sticker pretty much sums up their level of dissent.

  • Shay

    I agree to a point. I think Obama is trying to play nice with the Rethuglicans. They want to say Obama is being partisan but they don’t think about that when they have control of the different legislative depts. The majority of Americans voted for him on the platforms he presented during the election. He has to know that the idiots that show up at the town hall meetings do not speak for the majority of Americans.

  • BlackBeauty

    I hate to admit it, but he’s right. One thing that I did like about Bush is that he did whatever the hell he wanted too, and didn’t give a f**k who didn’t like it. Obama wants to be everybodies friend and include everybody. This isn’t kindergarten, f**k them, they lost.

  • Gypsy

    See people, Aint Afraid To Say It, is a prime example why Black people should vote, when you don’t vote you become like Aint Afraid To Say It, feeling powerless and out of control.

    BTW, the same car also had one that read:

    It’s that but deeper, for the first time the Republicans sees a Democratic Candidate/President who could create a permanent Democratic majority and even by popular acclaim remain in office beyond 8 years, and they are fearful. Not only did White and Black America elect a Black man but they are treating him like a prophet/last best hope and if he was Republican there would be no problem but a Black Democrat…Never!

    I heard something about it while I was channel surfing this morning. His outburst indirectly might prove to be the catalyst Obama needs to put his plan through…ironically enough.

  • Aint Afraid To Say It

    @Gypsy you are really living in a fantasy world. White people the government or whoever you are refering to is not afraid of Black People. If they were they wouldn’t do the things they do to us and get away with it. They know we are powerless and we have been since we’ve been over here in the U.S.A. Don’t be deceived like Gypsy is, Obama and no other black in this land or world for that matter can make us powerful in this America. So Stop lying to yourself and others.

    We need to get rid of abortion because I know that Blacks and Hispanics can each out birth every other groups except the Asians.
    a Brown America is the prophecy and the near future.
    black women have so taken to abortion that the Hispanic population out paced the Blacks and became the largest minority, with a ban on abortion we can reclaim that title.

  • Mr. Man

    @Gypsy
    We don’t need more numbers, we need to do better w/ the numbers we have. Our communities (black, brown) have limited resources, and a population boom would just put a further strain and have us all fighting amongst ourselves.

    White folks sure are infertile though lol

  • Gypsy

    @Aint Afraid To Say It

    As soon as Blacks and Hispanics realize that together we own this country, we live in strategic places, which determine which Party gains power and the Presidency, we will make you proud Mr. Aint Afraid To Say It.
    We need more voters and without abortion we can grow the Black and Brown population rapidly.

  • Gypsy

    @Mr. Man -
    We will take the pain of temporary poverty to grab ahold of power, then we will control the wealth of a nation like only a majority population can.

    “It’s definitely a time for CIA/ FBI vigilance because the climate is getting more and more rife for another Timothy McVie incident.”

    I’ve definitely thought of Timothy McVeigh recently — I think it’s sometimes forgotten or minimized that we have homegrown terrorists within our borders. I saw another woman on CNN say that she feared that President Obama was going to “indoctrinate” children into a “national defense army.” Where are people getting this stuff??

    By the way, Don Lemon of CNN had an interesting interview this evening with Tim Wise on the rhetoric used by the teabaggers and the racial implications. Wise, a white man who writes about racism, said that a segment of the protesters do not accept Obama as the nation’s “legitimate” president. He pointed out the attempts of some to paint the president as an “outsider” who is not American, and their comments indicate their attacks on his very identity. It was enlightening.

    Lemon is also having a segment tonight at 10 about the minister in Arizona who recently prayed for President Obama’s death in front of his congregation. I still cannot grasp the depths of hatred that Obama’s very being seems to provoke among a certain segment. It’s nonsensical and frightening.

    Funny how when a candidate, President Obama made it clear that he would reach out to Republicans. Now, as he continues to show good faith — he’s criticized for doing exactly what he said he’d do.

    @ Quick Sin — President Obama signed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act on May 22, 2009 — which places strong limitations on Credit Card companies predatory actions towards consumers.
