If this is true (and that’s a big what if), then there is nothing wrong with that. Regular couples do stuff like that all the time. There are lots of women who retire or quit or whatever just so that they can help their husband build and nurture his business and if that’s the case, that’s a beautiful thing. That would be a very “regular” thing to do and its all good.

However, its hard to believe that she would give up her career when she’s at the top of her game. Maybe its a pub stunt or a rumor. We’ll just have to see. I wouldn’t mind a long break from her though. But to go away all together, I don’t know.

Honestly…I think its a good idea. She needs to take a LONG break. Beyonce has been doing this for a while and I think it would be good for her to take a back seat for a while. We’ve had enough of beyonce. We’ve seen all she is capable of. There is nothing more for her to sing about. she’s done it all! I love her to death but I think she should fall back a liitle bit. I also think she realizes that in industry age, she is getting a little old now. The Sean Paul story is totally true. I’m sure I’m not the only one who saw the interview with Sean when he said he was shocked at how Jay was acting towards him. So Sean had to stand backstage while B foolishly performed a duo by herself on a major award show. Dude is mad possessive. What other celeb couple do you see together as much as Jay and B? They travel with each other to performances and the whole nine despite the fact they both have busy careers. It think that is what keeps them together in an industry where relationships often don’t work out though.

The industry is run by white men not dumb stans and they were not happy or impressed…thus the almost immediate followup as the UNITS have not been met..it is no way she is going to retire…SHE is STILL UNDER CONTRACT and CONTRACTED to MOVE thos UNITS…..

The wedding, was a Pimp Daddy/marketing production in an attempt to keep Beyonce’s image ‘healthy’ and ‘strong’ up until the release. If you notice, other artists are getting more attention, the listeners, for the most part, are beginning to ‘move on’ and are interested in others…for the first time. It HAS been Beyonceworld for about 4 years now..but now Mariah is banging, Keisha, Mary, Alicia, Rihanna in her own rite and the appeal of ‘Beyonce’ just because she is the beweaved on is waning. And HER PEOPLE KNOW THIS. If you check the top google searches, for the FIRST time in about 4 years she is NOT topping….which brings us to the

‘Wedding’…if you all note this ‘wedding’ was carefully planned to attempt to deflect attention away from the fact that Mariah is dropping her what ELVENTH studio album, has surpassed Elvis, moved 10 million units with Mimi (the same album you rabid fans claimed she was trying to look like Beyonce..) Beyonce better be lucky is she can get up to FIVE and Mariah indeed IS the hottest chick in the game, has been, and Bey ain’t NOWHERE NEAR her LEVEL, in songwriting, communicating, maturity, independence, UNITS sold…so what can the marketing people do so this doesn’t become a discussion point…have her marry the 400 million dollar man…to keep her ‘image’ UP THERE as BDAY sure didn’t win her any fans or accolades but began to reveal that Beyonce is not the GENIUS that her people wanted to believe her to be. IT revealed a childish, immature, materialistic woman….run of the mill….whereas Mariahs songs that SHE WROTE although still ‘fun’ are just on another level…she don’t have to name drop brand names every 3 words….

So there you have it…it is all damage control and also this so called news..it is attempting to create a depth to Beyonce that does not exist. Her GReedy Daddy robbed her of her own identity and instead turned her into an empty shell who can cut and paste from various artist but actually brings nothing as she has nothing to bring….no life experience, as mommy and daddy are there. Unlike a Mariah who has LIVED and it reflects in her music.

Beyonce straight JACKED Mariah’s fast singing style, JLO’s glam/rapper/mogul swag, Ashanti and the rapper collab style with Jah Rule, Janet’s and Tina’s moves (and Tina’s and Jlo’s hair and JLOs wardrobe)now she trying unsuccesffuly to cut and paste from Rihanna…the cracks are beginning to show that she is a very pretty empty shell and now her people are trying to create ‘depth’ she does need to retire or take a break from not only the industry but from everyone and learn how to think for herself, speak for herself and bring something of HERSELF to the game.

Closer to Cadillac Records it will be announced that the shindig in April was merely the announcement for the wedding and they will have a lavish wedding with photos etc…carefully released around album and movie release time just so you stupid fans will run and buy her products.

B, you said it so well. I don’t mind Beyonce so much, but her stans are so delusional. It is hard not to spill over and start disliking Beyowulf as a result of her psycho fans. She is not the end all be all. There are better vocalists, e.g. JHud, more accomplished singers, e.g. Mariah and Mary J., and more well-rounded vocalists, e.g. AKeys. She really isn’t that talented. Her voice is mediocre, she does the same two dance moves, and she jacks most of her live performances from other artists (Britney Spears, Madonna, Janet, etc.). She has only two solo albums, one of which was good but disjointed and the other which was horrible and underperformed.

Like you said, BDay underperformed. She had to re-release and release more music videos to try to sell more albums.

I always assumed that her empty character was a result of nature, but you raise a valuable point about her education stopping at middle school. Acting requires so much mental analytical skills and observational skills, that I’m certain that she will never excel in that field.

At the end of the day, I wish her the best, but I won’t be crying if she makes a permanent exit from the industry.

I remember when my mama and daddy use to argue over Diana Ross and Patti LaBelle. My mama can’t stand Diana and swore she can’t sing. But is that even relevant today? The music industry is large enough for everyone. I can’t stand rock music and don’t think all that screaming is singing, but there are millions of fans who would disagree. Music is subjective.
