Fetty Wap Fight Ends In Shootout And Robbery Of Chain

For all his success, Fetty Wap just can’t seem to leave his hometown of Paterson, NJ alone and now he’s worse for the wear because of it.

According to NorthJersey.com reports the rapper, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was involved in a 5 am dispute that erupted into a gunfight at an all-night deli in South Paterson. Three people were shot, but none suffered life-threatening wounds, according to police.

Paterson Deputy Police Chief Troy Oswald confirmed that Fetty Wap and several friends were involved in the shooting at a deli on Montclair Avenue, however Oswald also said Fetty and his friends are not suspects in the shooting or a robbery that happened during the dispute. Police would not confirm reports that the incident also involved another hip-hop artist and declined to provide details about any of the victims connection to Fetty. One of the wounded was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center and the other two were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, according to police.

Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that Fetty had a chain and cash snatched and that sparked the shootout. They’re also reporting that one of the shooting victims was shot in the leg and another had a gunshot wound to his torso.

A source close to Fetty tells BOSSIP exclusively that his 1738 chain was not “snatched” from his person, but that the rapper removed his jewelry before a fight.

“He was fighting and he put his chain in the bag,” the insider told BOSSIP. “Somebody took the bag.”

Damn… That’s ugly. Fetty’s rise to stardom hasn’t been without bumps. The rapper split with one of his associates, P-Dice, early in his career and is currently facing a $7 million lawsuit over unpaid royalties filed by his former associate.

In the meantime, Fetty’s chain has already resurfaced on the gram. Hit the flip to see.

Muscle Team Fuzz Instagram

VladTV posted this photo from Instagram originally posted by a man known as Fuzz, CEO of Muscle Team Ent. The photo reveals a man covering his face with what appears to be Fetty Wap’s “1738” chain. In the bio of Fuzz’s Instagram there is a link to his song which features former Remy Boy P-Dice.

The Instagram caption states:

“Just to set the record straight. I personally didn’t take @fettywap1738 chain. I’m not responsible for no one else action but my own. I don’t have a personal problem Fetty Wap. He just a good kid in the way. How he got his chain taken I don’t know and I don’t care. That’s none of my business. Did I take a picture with it? Yes. The whole down the hill got a picture with it on. Now enjoy the rest of y’all night. 💪🏿 I will love to take the credit for it but unfortunately, my Instagram is no liar.”

Update: Police have arrested Raheem Thomas for the gun charges related to the shootout according to TMZ reports. Thomas is “Fuzz’s” real name. Sources say Thomas and Fetty have had a “deep rooted” beef over music deals for years and Thomas’ crew previously warned Fetty to “stay out of Paterson”.

We’re hoping this situation doesn’t get any worse. The violence is no bueno!
