I can really relate to what you are saying, that happens to me all the time too, and I always make it clear that I am black and proud of it. I used to date all races of men, then it just kind of whittled down to just white men (they just asked me out more than anybody else), now I’m dating a Saudi, and we are quite compatible. I think more Black women ought to open up and date non-black guys too, as they usually have great educations, no out of wedlock children, make more money and as much as I hate to admit this, they tend to have more self-respect, self-esteem, and respect for others than Black men. Just my observation after years of trying not to acknowledge what I was seeing right before my very eyes.

i agree that black women should feel to date whomever they want. but the fact is that usually if you want a decent white man, you have to look like joy bryant, or kerry washington, iman etc.. i am black and have dated all colors (very common here in the uk) but i think that the beauty esthetic for women is different, in terms of physique etc.. white men tend to like black women who are tall and slim, and look more ethiopian or mixed race.
