I totally agree with you. Other tennis players have showed their butts on numerous occasions. Both Serena and Venus have had to tolerate insults that no one else would be expected to put up with. Lately, it seems as if a segment of society and the media wants our young Black celebrities to bend over and kiss their feet while apologizing. Are we expected to apologize for taking over as leaders in sports, politics and entertainment? We know everything our young entertainers and sport figures do is not always politically correct or socially acceptable. But they are trying to get it right. Our ancestors were busy picking cotton and working as servants. Therefore, we are still trying to perfect the social graces and proper etiquette. We are forever mindful of all the insults and years of subservience our race has been expected to tolerate with a smile. However, we apologize that our new generation’s $tatus has suddenly become so offensive.

I know for a fact that Serena didn’t foot fault. ESPN/CBS removed the one video that clearly showed this. Serena was wrong but damn she is always on the end of bad calls and couldn’t hold her temper. It’s her first offense and babygirl is about to open her SECOND school in Africa, so pay attention to that. She also gives college scholarships through her education foundation and does tennis clinics. One mess up in a career of success and scrutiny is allowed and she’s looking better and better with time.
