Kanye is a visionary; I love his thoughts, ideas, everything. No matter how the media will try to play him out right now, I will continue to back him up 100%. I will still listen to his music, still buy his albums, still support anything that has to do with him because he is the truth.

How the ***** is ole girl lucky? some iggnant drunk muffuga steps in and ruins her big night and steals a moment from her that is gone forever…..ya’ll either must be kids or don’t have any kids becasue if you did you’d know just how *****ed up it was and thats its not just a get over it moment. In response to the he helped her out because now folks know who she is?….Folks already knew who she was thats why her ***** out sold damn near everyone else and if you noticed damn near every word spoken prior to the show was about her. I can see supporting a brotha who’s made an honest mistake and honestly knows it but this was his pattern before his mom died and his arrogance has only grown,,,when these entertainers are allowed to go unchecked and we still support them it most always ends up tragic. I think you Taylor Swift fans are right and it’s cool that ya’ll are coming to her defense and supporting her. But after 4 apologies and a national backlash, there comes a time when you have to forgive. I know it’ll take you fans sometime to get over it, and that understandable. I felt bad for her too, but should he keep apologizing forever? How long does he have to be in the doghouse? It’s been a week….I’m glad most of us have moved on. But still, Taylor Swift fans have a right to be upset, and hopefully ya’ll will forgive him soon. I think he genuinely feels bad about what he did.

B’More>>>Anyone who says what Kanye did was right is a moron. What he did was rude and just plain ole wrong, but I still think people blew this WAY out of proportion. It’s over and done with, so people really need to move on. I’m sure Taylor has. This incident, in my opinion, is just not that serious.

P.S. For those of you who are still so incensed about this, I hope you put this kind of energy into issues involving making this world a better place. Again, the incident is OVER AND DONE WITH. When white folks do us wrong, we don’t even carry on to this extent. If we do, it’s over and done, and we forget about it. Taylor got her moment, thanks to Beyonce. I’m sure she’s moved on so why can’t some of you? Sheesh!

Though I knew who she was from her time on Idol and heard her name and how well her music was doing a fan I’m not. My taste in music is more or less Mary J., Kem, Eric Benet with some Ludacris when I’m feelin it. I do feel as you that he’s made his apology and a number of times and he’ll have to take his lumps and ride it out and life will go on. The post was not about Kanye per say but to point of how some ride or die for celebrities regardless of their acts, Point is if Kanye himself understands how *****ed up it was why can’t others like some of those up in here? She’s lucky? He did her a favor? Him being real as they say applies only to those who agree with him and share his taste in music but as a R&B lover it doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate someone elses acheivements within another genre of music and be happy for them. Something tells me that despite what some of his fanbase thinks “keeping it real” really means that when he goes up to accept his award or awards at the BET event he’ll take a moment and really “keep it real” and speak on it in a grown up real man way that’ll make us all proud….I have more faith in his brilliance than his ignorance. Outside of you *****uming I was a Taylor Swift fan your post was very well thought out….

I agree that we have way more pressing issues to deal with and on a personal note I do as I’m very involved in my community. In all honesty I think it was a horrible thing he did and he apologized and will pay for it in a monetary way somehow and hopefully will move on and do even greater things. What I’ve tried to adress as always is our thinking on issues and how it amazes me that we’ll thump our chests and say ***** like “Keepin it real”……but when they need to be “keeping it real” like showing up at townhalls or protesting ***** like the woman getting beat in Georgia or te hfools getting bolder and bolder with these signs, guns and racial slurs they they love to say in the camers minus their hoods…..other than blog some if I ever ***** they quiet as churh mice….Kanye is gonna do Kanye but on a larger note we as black folks have to do us and the lack of integrity or minor ***** causes me concern regarding the larger picture…its like we did what we needed to do and voted in our first black president then went back to ***** as usual not understanding that it was just the beginning of our standing up not the end of it…

Yes, it was tacky and flat our rude, but it just seems to me that other “celebrities” or what have you (i.e. white) have done worse and the backlash isn’t quite as severe as what Kanye has been experiencing. Remember when Isaih Washington made that “*****” comment, and they took him to task, fired him from his show, and make him attend some kind of sensitivity course? Mike Vick fought dogs and you would’ve thought he was a serial killer (I’m not saying he was right in what he did, and I DO NOT like anyone who is cruel to animals, period). He almost lost his football career. So here you have Kanye who, on an award show, made an ***** of himself and took Taylor’s shine, and now, the whole world is going koo koo over coco puffs, including black people. Yet when whites do ***** against US, which they’ve been doing on a daily basis since President Obama stepped into office, we don’t seem to have the tenacity or ferver to combat it like other groups do. Some black people even think other blacks are “too sensitive” when they make a stink about it.”

I agree 100%. That is absolutely true. Somehow we lost that sense of community and drive that was evident back in the 60’s. It’s a shame that this case with Kanye has gotten so much play and comments from bloggers. I saw this story on another blog earlier this week and there were only 4 comments. FOUR!!!
