I think the caption is wrong… tyra was not speechless and and she clearly expressed her unwillingness to answer certain questions just becuase C Mcfadden asked. Tyra shut cynthia down!!! When Tyra REFUSED to answer ( there is a difference) Cynthia was the one tomove on… and then she also tried to put words in Tyra’s mouth (jealous!! of course they were , but tyra didn’t say it?) and Tyra politely and directly corrected her… It was Cynthia who got shut down and had to move on!!

Tyra is so uppity and snooty towards her guest. She annoys the hell out of me. She always finds a way to make a subject about her. She always puts her guests down and feels she needs to belittle them. I was happy that the interviewer got gangsta on her becuz she does the same thing to her guests.

She says she wants to be taken seriously and she is supposedly in charge of her shows and is a confident manager. In that case she should be able to answer a question without her publicist stepping in. There are numerous ways she could answer a question like that without actually saying much. Maybe she is not smart enought to do it. For example “I had some creative differences with the other judges that you mentioned. Sometimes people take these differences personally. I have the utmost respect for their opinions and careers, but I just felt that the show needed to go in a different direction. I am sorry that Paulina and Janice took it personally and had to resort to personal attacks.”

After all these years of interviewing people, Tyra should have been able to give Cynthia a “canned” non-answer answer and moved the interview along.

Although she didn’t say anything wrong in my opinion, she was not very skillful in handling a simple question. Tyra’s the boss of ANTM and her version of the story becomes the official version: everyone else is a disgruntled former employee. IMO, She missed an easy one.
