Kevin Powell Sues ‘All Eyez On Me Producers’ For Stealing His Interviews

Another one…*DJ Khaled voice*

The Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me, has been hit with yet another controversy, this time by renowned hip-hop journalist Kevin Powell.

According to TMZ, Powell has filed a serious lawsuit against the films’ producers for taking his interviews with the rap legend to write their much maligned script.

The suit details all the ways All Eyez jacked Powell’s work including the fact that producer LT Hutton has admitted to watching “all of the interviews” to make the film. Powell also alleges that the “Nigel” character in the movie is based on notorious (no pun) real-life goon Haitain Jack, and that the only way this character could have been so intricately written is by sourcing material from his articles.

The biopic also depicts Pac being interviewed in prison, just as Powell had done in the mid-90s.

Kevin Powell is not only asking that a judge award him profits from the film, but that it be pulled from all movie theaters effective IMMEDIATELY!

This film is fast becoming as controversial as Tupac’s real life.
