Ex-Wife Wants NBA Star Punished For Defying Divorce Deal

NBA veteran Steve Francis’ ex-wife says he’s threatening to evict her from their marital home and owes her seven figures after flouting the payment terms of their divorce deal.

And now, Shelby Francis has pleaded with a judge to lock him up and force him to pay.

Shelby filed court docs pleading with a Texas judge to jail her ex-husband for six months and force him to pay her the more than $1 million she says he owes her as part of their divorce settlement.

Under the terms of their divorce, Steve was supposed to pay Shelby $2,137 a month in child support, $16,700 in alimony for 60 months – a total of $1 million – and a $2.4 million lump sum.

But the mom of two said that Steve hasn’t paid her alimony in six months, and although he paid her $68,000, she said he still owes $31,000, according to court docs obtained by BOSSIP. Shelby also said that even though Steve paid her most of the $2.4 million lump sum payment, he still owes her $15,000.

And when it comes to his court-ordered child support, Shelby said that Steve hasn’t paid her a dime, and now owes her $10,687 in back support.

Shelby also said she’s asked him for the money several times, and now believes he has no intention of actually paying.
