I totally agree! I went to college with him (Miami of Ohio), and he wasn’t thugged out in Oxford Ohio, nor was Algernod Washington (his government name) getting lots of “Becky,” but he was smart and had a great personality. It is sad that he chose to be the poster child of ignorant coonery because it pays well.

My son has “eclectic” music taste, but listens to mostly rock cause he likes the live music stuff and plays the guitar and my daughter likes the Disney singers, which I am SO cool with that. Our next generation is getting dumber by the minute listening to this worthless *****.

Yeah, my son taught himself to play the b***** about 4 yrs ago, tripped me out! I would hear him playing beat it or something and I was amazed! I always say I don’t know how he became such a polar opposite of me, but that’s a good thing!

A lot of folks in college come from the “streets” or at one time or another had a family member or friends who were on some real hood stuff, and in college while I understand everybody grows differently while there and certain things will always remain a part of a person I think Plies the rapper is just an act. I think most rappers are exaggerated persons but I’d be willing to bet Plies and what he really was like before “PLIES” don’t compare at all. I know a lot of FL boyz and while every region or state has there own flava and style and accents I can’t recall any of them saying things like number *****ounced like “Nimber” or make up stupid words like Bust-It-Baby. C’mon Bruh, you actually have to really try and misprounce a word like number to make it sound like Nimber.
I could be totally off because I don’t know the man, but to me when I hear his music I feel like he is trying be something he’s not.
