The New Way to Fly…

Check out the new way to fly.  Reports are saying that airlines may look into seating customers face to face in order to get more seating on planes. Don’t knock it til you try it, this seating could save you money.

In a new airplane design, planes may have passengers face each other in an attempt to get more seating on planes and lower ticket pricing.  The new plane option would offer passengers the luxury of traditional seating which wouldn’t face another passenger but those tickets would cost more.

The new seating is said to have a 50 percent increase in seating and a 30 percent decrease in cost per seat.  Design Q, which is the company that designed the new seating, doesn’t recommend the new seating for long flights that exceed an hour. Apparently, the seating is very narrow and food carts wouldn’t be able to maneuver throughout the plane.

This isn’t the first time face to face seating has been used on planes, in fact, military personnel fly in this fashion on military planes.

Even with the price being recession proof, would you pay for comfort or cut the corner to fly for less?
