KRS-One Attacked on Stage

Posted by Bossip Staff

KRS-One

KRS-One teaches by example during his “Stop the Violence Movement Tour”:

“Rap legend KRS-One suffered a fractured right hand at the hands of an angry fan, during a recent performance at a New Haven, CT nightclub. The fan, who became upset after being escorted off stage by the club’s security staff, threw a bottle in the direction of the stage, striking KRS-One in the face and hand. Despite the fan’s hostility, KRS-One remained calm as he urged the crowd to ‘Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go,’ said the rapper, who was rushed to to Yale-New Haven hospital in an ambulance. ‘Let this be an example as to how we stop the violence,’ KRS-One said.’”

Ain’t that some stuff. Now the “Stop the Violence” tour is postponed due to violence. KRS-One was really put to the test. Kudos to him for keeping his cool. Those ticket sales would’ve went belly up if he hauled off and b**ch-slapped that guy.

  7. Tela

Dude, why was the fan so angry. It is shame that one person messes it up for everyone. That’s why performers are not touring like they use to because of idiots like this.

  8. i would press charges or beat the f-k outta dude

  9. N3w0rl3@ns {h3 s@y h3 l0v3 m3 lyk3 *****,m0n3y,w33d}

  10. I'm Just Me

Wow!! KRS-ONE is really one of the true real ones and I like all that represents!!! I am sorry this happened to him but he is a bigger man because of it. Yes Bossip…Kudos to him!

  11. Brooklyn, Stand UP!

KRS One is a man w/ respect and is a legend in the Hip Hop game. Good for him for being the better man by walking away. Some people need to follow his antics instead of killing one another.

  12. The Devil Is A Liar

Sorry to hear about the club incident. That shouldn’t happen to anyone.

    However, he ’sho’ is UGLY.

  13. Holla, Brooklyn stand UP

You are a cutie for real!!

  14. Some people just don’t need to be let off leashes…his ignorant ***** needs to be charged.

  15. I cant say...

Why was he in ghetto ***** New Haven!!! Should have performed in Stanford…

  16. I cant say...

On second thought, the sheer irony of this reaks publicity ploy….

  17. Jahpson

that was very grown the way he handled the situation.

and why was the fan so angry? gosh, get some help

  18. Harlem Chic

Damn…his nose really look like a bell pepper.

  19. Brooklyn, Stand UP!

    @Holla, Brooklyn stand UP

    Thank you. :)

  20. Blacksmith

He handled it like a man. When people are in the obvious wrong, there is no need to retaliate. Can’t stop one of the legends of hip-hop. Keep going KRS.

  21. EG da God

New Haven can be a bit sketchy, I’m from there, I know. But this is just crazy.

  22. realwoman

KRS-1 has stayed positive for the most part anyway so this doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me are the idiots on here commenting on his beautiful African man nose instead of his actions!

**Remember you are just a watered down version of what you are supposed to be.**

  23. Lil' Kevin Mayne

    irony

  24. Brooklyn… you know i got mad luv for you after you thought of me fri after the quake in chi- you get mad respect if you ever come our way.. its already been told!!!!!

  25. BlackMan

    Yo hommie has a m*****ive nose…

  26. TISHA

Ok first off let me address some funny ***** comments

LOL@Harlem chick with the bell pepper comment…Hilarious!!!

Next @ I cant say…It’s Stamford not Stanford

An now for my *****essment of the situation….New Haven IS indeed ghetto so I can see why he would have a stop the violence concert there. The last time I attended something in New Haven shots were fired, my and my girlfriends were running in heels and there were empty purses and baby strollers left inthe street. Mind you about an hour before that someone had already been shot.

Also, there have been many rapper victims in New haven. If my memory serves me right, C*****idy got hit with a bottle in New Haven also and proceeded to jump inthe crowd and got handled. Ummmm, STOP THE VIOLENCE MY PEOPLE!

  27. Dumb*****es

I live in New Haven and yes it is ghetto and I am truely embarr*****ed by the bull***** that goes on.

2 summers ago a 13 year old girl and a 14 year old boy were killed by senseless shootings on 2 separate occasions.

That’s why we can’t have ***** here. And they continue to have that sorry ***** Freddy Fixer parade where someone else got killed before the parade even started.

  28. D

yea big up the teacha everytime, and Foxy needs to stop the violence her damn self, throwing hair glue Inga? your serious. lol

  29. Its6amHogetOut

Build a wall around every ghetto and the problem gets solved, only let them out to see a Doctor.

  30. Its6amHogetOut

Listen to Krs ones, “My philosophy” or “duck down” and you’ll see why i say the deep south has ruined an artform.

  31. For those who don’t know…. You betta ask somebody ’cause this man ain’t a legend for nothing!!!

  32. HoneyBrown

Big ups to KRS-One for being the bigger person. I wish stories like these could be the rule, not the exception.

  33. KRS-ONE……..1 UGLY DUDE DAMN

  34. I got this

i gotta solution stop providing gl***** beverage containers at venues. plastic bottles or cups for now on sense everyone is actin a fool.

  35. memchee

KRS-ONE has always been 1 step ahead of the game.

  36. Koi Norelle

Wow…. KRS-One handled that situation with a lot of cl*****. In that situation anyone could’ve lost it, but he set a good example for the children there. That’s really admirable in my book.

  37. MissBeethe1

I luv me some Krs-one, and it just shows how he is a powerful man because it took a strong brother not to jump off that stage and give homeboy the bizness… Hope he gets better real soon!!!

  38. violence at a stop the violence concert, who would of known, lol

  39. Its6amHoGetOut
