Why does it seem like black people like to always say that I’m mixed with this and my blood line has alil of that, and my grandmother or grandfather or great grandmother was indian, or white, I mean what’s the big deal. Do black people feel that it makes them more exotic or interesting. I mean, sure , alot of us probably do have other races in our blood line, but must we always try to bring up and make it evident to others. I find this alot with ppl who or lighter skin or have different hair textures or european features. Black is beautiful so embrace it. Its funny how alot of times black people try to accent themselves so much like other races, when racism is mostly based on jealousy and fear and insecurity Embrace your true authentic beauty and that way you wouldn’t have to be annoyed by other races of women dating black men or other races of women trying to emulate the black womans body and looks, In fact, I tend to look at it as a compliment because they work hard spending alot of time and money trying to look like us, when we’re blessed to have it naturally.

My weekend was great. I was on vacation last week, and I went canvassing for Obama on Saturday. It was a lot of walking, but fun. Can’t wait for the results tomorrow! The margin between Obama and Clinton has narrowed considerably, and I’m hoping for a very good showing for him.

I find it funny how some light skinned black people want a medal for being proud of their blackness. Recognize that being light or near white affords you the privilege of being black and proud without threat or consequence.

I always found it funny how light skinned sisters with white textured curly hair would call themselves wearing their hair natural and then judge a dark skinned sister for getting a relaxer to mitigate the racism of getting employment.
