Queen Of Hip Hop Soul In The Midst Of Messy Divorce
Mary J. Blige has made what appears to be a last ditch effort to sell her New Jersey mansion after it has sat on the market on and off for nearly 10 years.
The veteran soul singer, who is in the midst of her nationwide “Strength of a Woman” tour, cut the price on her Bergen County, NJ home by almost 25 percent, according to public records obtained by BOSSIP.
On Aug. 28, Blige dropped her mansion’s sale price to $6.9 million from $8.8 million. The diva has steadily lowered the price on the home since it went on sale for nearly $14 million in 2008, but never by such a drastic amount.

Perhaps she is ready to be well clear of the home where she spent a lot of time with her soon to be ex-husband Kendu Isaacs – or maybe she needs the mansion’s sale profits to pay his temporary alimony of $30,000 a month.
Blige bought the estate for $12.3 million in 2008, and the property boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a studio, media room, library and staff quarters, according to the home’s listing.
