Not knocking the doc, but ALL grilled products (whether by charcoal or gas) can cause cancer. This is primarily caused by using high and direct heat. High heat cooking on the grill produces something called heterocyclic amines (HCAs), which is a carcinogen. Also, when you get a lot of smoke and flare-ups from the meat dripping fat, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) form and seep back up into the meat. All known carcinogens.

I’ve never heard of the chemical mentioned in the article above. His looks like it is in addition to what I’m talking about.

To reduce some of the chemicals caused by grilling you can do the following:

1. Marinate your meat. It helps protect it.
2. Lower the heat.
3. Partially cook meat inside, to decrease the amount of time the meat has to spend on the grill exposed to these dangerous elements.
4. Cook with less fatty meat to prevent drippings and flare-ups.

i never liked their grilled chicken anyway.

Oh yeah, and I liked that chicken. I’m switching back to spicy then…

When I hit 30, I stopped eating fast food anyways. Cooking at home is much better, plus I’m alot thinner

Never tried their grilled chicken and after their fried chicken bled on me when I was 11 I stopped eating that. I do still like the biscuits though, are those okay?

Black people. Check out the uses of coconut oil when frying food. I’ts a lot healthier and the fat doesn’t digest in the blood to clog arteries, rather it goes straight to the liver to metabalize as carbohydrates = energy….. read up on it!!

This is totally exaggerated. This amine is actually found in all cooked meat. These studies are done in mice. None of the mice in the study were fed cooked meat either. Again this is totally Exaggerated.
Human’s have been cooking meat for ages.

The Forman Grill is just fine because its not really a grill. Its just an electric heating element so it wouldn’t produce those potentially harmful chemicals.

Come on people please wake up. Nobody should be eating the garbage that comes from KFC. The food will definitely send you to an early grave. Do your research. Check out the nutritional content of their so called menu or any fast food restaurant.

WOW.

ALL (again, ALL) grilled, bbq’d, broiled, charbroiled, microwaved, fried (or meat that has been burned in any way) IS CANCEROUS. Please research this, because it’s a well known FACT. The astronomically high levels of heat cause the meat to change molecularly and the finished product is cancerous when eaten on a regular basis. PERIOD. Baking, or sauteeing (sp?) your poultry and fish are the best ways to go.

Also remove skins for far less fat and cholesterol intake. Start cooking your own healthy meals people and stop feeding yourselves and your children poisonous foods (at least on a regular basis anyway). It’s what you eat ALL the time that will ultimately kill you…not what you eat every now and then. Nothing wrong with a treat.

Oh and I completely agree with “The Truth” above. I guess some people find racism funny and amusing. To each his own. At the end of the day we’re all responsible for own actions and the effect our actions have on others. So why judge?

I work at KFC and the so called “Grilled” chicken is really baked…I wont eat it…I don’t eat to much of they food besides the biscuits…and that’s only if i cook them…

I mean are they really trying to kill “us” cuz most black folks go for the fried…maybe there’s another target hmmm…
