Alexis Phifer is talking to the media about being dumped by Kanye and is trying to gank some publicity for her fashion line before she falls off the map.
“It’s always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” Phifer tells PEOPLE. “I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.” Phifer was spotted on the red carpet sans her engagement ring at an “Evenings in Vogue” event on Thursday night in New York, where her clothing line, Ghita, was featured. According to the friend, Phifer and West, both 30, had been spending less time together in the last few weeks as the Grammy-winning star prepared for his nationwide “Glow in the Dark” tour. “I haven’t seen [Alexis] around at all the last few times I’ve seen him recently,” the friend added.

I’m not into speculating on folks relationships, but she may not have been there for him like he should have been when his moms p*****ed. I had a wild weekend. A few old friends came to visit and things got a little crazy after we started drinking. No police were involved, so I guess it is all good in the end. Sorry to hear your a fan of the Browns! They are getting better though.
Its hard to say. He is in a fickle business where image in EVERYTHING and he does have a larger than life personality, it seems. In any event, maybe this breakup is a good thing. Alexis, as cute as she is, looked tierd all the time. Maybe she couldnt keep up with Kanye.
P.S. I’ve only seen her in one outfit that I liked. I think she dressed terribly. She always looked like she was going to a prom circa 1985.

Awhile back, me and this young man were experiencing some relationship issues. During a discussion, I mentioned it would be best if we parted ways. Exactly! I read a story today about the recent shootings in Chicago, and my heart broke when I read about the case of the murders of two boys whose mother’s boyfriend killed them. What kind of men are we allowing into our lives? It’s frightening and depressing. I wish more sisters would just know that they don’t have to be with a man to be complete. Don’t sell yourself short. To me, one of the loneliest feelings is being with the wrong man. Now that’s true misery, IMHO.

I think what you’re seeing is one of the effects of the “Bust It Baby” movement. There are women who believe that in order to be considered desirable, they must project sexuality when all they get in return is disrespect and anything but love. This all falls into the self-love and self-esteem issues that I think a number of women have, IMHO.
