well if obama even mentions a national language argument for not speaking spanish he the ostracizes the hispanic vote big time, so that would be a bad statement, hispanics want to be addressed in thier own language eventhough they know dam well they need to be learning english….but if speaking spanish gets u the votes then it has to be done….well thas if he wants it…but honestly obama blew it with the hispanics in L.A. where he didnt even visit the east side….so obama not only did not help himself but the brown vs. black situation there too, him showing up would do wonders for race relations in L.A. but obama isnt smart enough and astute enough to see how that would actually win him the election without the democratic base….

u see republicans tap into the brown vote all the tim when they lose thier evangelical vote base..

republican’s basically know they write the black vote off and still win an elections as long as they dont come off too threatening to hispanics, plus with the hispanic vote you dont have to deliver much becasue the hispanic constituency is so underground cause most of them are still here illegally or just dont understand out society and how politics here work, so they don’t ask for much…..but the republican’s know how to cheat the system: tone down the immigration rhetoric and tell the cops and ICE to stay away from the polls and they will vote….

I’d love to see our next president Obama learn Spanish through accelerated immersion before the general election.

i dont think hispanics resent obama becasue they know even less about him than the mainstream does, however they will feel slighted if they are not courted for a vote…

hispanics out vote blacks 3 to 1 so for barak to miss that demographic will be detrimental to his campaign in the long haul becasue in the next few months guess who going to be all “como esta” in the hispanics faces? McCain!!! and if McCain acts even the least bit concerend about thier issues then he’s got thier vote, ie. george bush….

now this is real simple, due to the fact that obama can not pull the base democratic vote, either obama is going to have to prove to the DNC that he can pull more than the urban, college, and independent vote or step back and let hilary run and maybe win….which isnt a good thing, but to pick the lesser evil i’ll roll wit somebody thats been in the building 8+ years versus a guy that only offers hope, all the terrorists love him,and has zero experience running anything major…the illinois state legislature doesnt impress me really, i eat lunch with more accomplished and better qualified people then barak….
