After trying hurt Obama in S.C. with white folks by comparing his presidential run to Jesse Jackson, that shady Bill Clinton accused Obama of playing the race-card against him:

“I think that they played the race card on me,” Clinton said in an interview on WHYY here yesterday. “And we now know from memos on the campaign and everything that they planned to do it all along.”

are you for serious?? SMH at that silly slick willy. the clintons should be impeached again. YES WE CAN!!

  • Hope

Typical example of why I REFUSE to support and never will again these two faced race baiting Clintons! He sat there and said that Obama winning S. Carolina was no big deal cause Jessie did it in the 80s but he wants to say Obama is playing the race card??? Oh, you ass if only we were as stupid as you think we are!

  • And…..

Its OVA for Clinton. Even if she wins PA, she’s not going to get the nomination. What is she going to do after this? Write another book? Do speaking engagements? The people have seen the low-down, dirty hag she can be. Poof-be gone!

Bill Clinton is crazy. Looking at him and our current president you would never believe they are the age. I knew he would turn on this foolish blk folk who called him soul brother number 1.

Hillary lost a lot of us when she said that Lyndon Johnson played a greater role in the Civil Rights Movment than Dr. King. News flash Hillary blk folk don’t like being told we are less than when we hear it from any and everybody.

    @Chic

Yeah that Lyndon Flap was plain retarded! you shouldve seen when The Colbert Report doing a spoof off that hilary statement, it was hilarious!

what the hell was she thinking? This whole process has only made me wish that blacks had more presence in the media, our own political correspondance network, about as “fair and balanced” as Fox News, that couldve really gave that statement the attention it deserved, by that I mean playing it over and over , every 10 seconds, with some stimulating visual effects and doomsday music a la’ Fox. But nooooo we have BET! hell they dont even have a news show anymore! even hispanics have more compelling coverage on Telemundo!

Drudge is reporting Hillary 52 Barack 48 even with a projected 2 million turn out that’s only 80,000 net gain in popular and a possible loss in the delegates considering Philly’s distribution of delegates. This is with Ed Rendell and Michael Nutter whom black people need to boot out of office.

    GO CLINTON

You can take most cities and still lose considering Philly’s accounting for 40 percent of the vote.

  • Dam

The biggest issue black people had with the Clintons in this election, was that they are white? (at least that’s the impression I get from comments here)

It will def take longer for black people to get over their racism against white people than the other way around.

Just remember that while you are typing racial slurs against the white Clintons, Obama could NEVER win the election in america no matter how good of a candidate he has turned out to be, if white people were as “out to get you” as some of you insinuate.

White folks are not bad people, although I’m not sure if any of you guy’s have actually met any yet.

I would wote for Obama if I COULD vote, so dont go accusing me of being a Clinton supporter.

  • Madam”O”

DAM makes a good point. This is a life game we all have to play and in order to reach the highest level of success it takes various nationalities of “connected” people to help you reach it. Obama would have never came this far on his own, he understands the game very well. I can’t wait to see the final product in this election. I am expecting something very shady to happen similar to when George W. won over Gore. We’ll see.

  • Nun Ye

Obama got his ass whooped tonight in Pennsylvania.

  • Bohwe

BTW: Obama didn’t get 8% of the black vote, because black folks are so loyal to massa, pure and simple. I guess black folks hated on him because he’s not kissing the white man’s butt. Oh, please let Powell run for V.P. with McCain, but then simple negroes would be mad that he ain’t democratic and stay home. Negroes are the most dumbest creatures ever, they believe in the ideology of Kiplings’ The White Man’s Burden”.

  • http://onedroprule.org/about1720.html Bitter

why are people still voting for these two fools?

  • http://onedroprule.org/about1720.html Nita

Nun Ya, no Obama didn’t. Hillary had a 20 point lead even a month ago. She had to win by double digits. She did not. Obama GAINED on her steadily. If it wasn’t for the Rendell machine who knows what may have happened.

She continues to add Michigan and Florida to her delegate numbers. She cannot do so. They do not count.

Pennsylvania is going to be Texas all over again, in spirit, in that Clinton ‘wins’……..but ultimately loses.

And by the way, your girl Hillary is FLAT BROKE. How’s that for winning the battle but losing the war?

  • ObamastheMan

As far as black people being more racist than whites – NEVAH!!!!! And just by chance we are, we learned it from whitey!

  • Nita

@ Black Girl in Pearls, you should talk to Bill Richardson and Ron Brown and Jocelyn Elders and Lani Gulani (and maybe even Vernon Jordan and Betty Currie, to get down into something deeper) about those cabinet positions for minorities……. and who ultimately held real power.

Except you can’t ask Ron, because he’s dead.

And only slightly off tangent, ask Pastor Jeremiah Wright about how the Clintons use and abuse and discard as it need arises.

Please wake up, if you really are a black girl — and even if you are not — do not drink the Clinton’s Bizarro World kool aid about who played the race card.

If you need direction to some analyses of what’s really been going down, I can try to help you so you can make up your own mind without the Clinton’s backwards reality b.s.

damnnnn about Obama… I’m Australian but i’m rooting for Obama because i see that’s the change that USA needs ..

HAving said that, if Obama doesn’t win (i.e. Hilary wins the delegates), people should still vote democrat because do you really want Mccain for your country?? It’d be like another Bush for another 4 yrs.. I would not be liking that if i was ya’ll!!

    but GO OBAMA

When will black folk be loyal to each other?? Why are we consistently loyal to others but question our own repeatedly? As if the rest of the world doesn’t question us enough? There is a fundamental need for change throughout the US. Not just in the African community but the Caucasian, Chicano, Asian community, etc…

Yes it is true that the Clintons have resorted to the worst tactic possible-Appealing to the worst of white America by constantly using the names Farrakhan and Wright to scare those in white America. The media uses the words hate, militant, and racist to describe the words of men who have given their lives to convey a message of self-worth and righteousness for the black men and women of this country.

America is the greatest country on earth but we have our problems. It’s hypocritical for White America to call Farrakhan and Wright racist and hateful when the message that was taken was a sound bite of the problems of the country.

You can’t sit back and act as if there are no problems here in America. I don’t know if America is ready for a black president, but there is only one way to find out. I’m voting for Obama but it’s larger than him being of African decent- it’s the state of affairs this country is in…

Why is it alright for Hillary to be a champion for women everywhere but Obama can’t bring up the fact that he is indeed a brotha? Racism still exist, it is the worst crime known to man. We need a new face in the office

So some of you would rather vote for a lying spin artist who feeds the public false propaganda of Obama having terroist ties and tries to downplay her own hypocrisy by repeatly bring up Obamas “inexperience”? This woman’s only goal is to go back “home” to the “white house”. She doesn’t care about the common people and you’d best believe, she will run this country with a republican rule-after all, she used to be one.

BTW : Why won’t they(media) ask Slick Willy about his bi-racial son that he never want’s to speak of?I’m sure that would sway alot of these voters to rethink their stance when it comes to how this so called “race card” is being played when it come to the Clintons.

  • lucy

Oh please AskOne gimme a break. I live in NY so I’ve seen how things have played out with Hillary here in the Senate. She is an undercover republican and just because she’s married to Bill means nothing. In her own words she’s ready to “obliterate Iran” and has no problem keeping our troops overseas. She’s just as bad as Bush. Remember-Obama voted AGAINST the war(and has been consistent) while Hillary voted FOR it. Now she admits she made a mistake. How many more mistakes will she make as pres of the US?

We need a fresh take on this government-not more old politics that cater to lobbist and special interest groups.

    Obama 08′

  • Lou in the Chi

    @Lucy

Barack didn’t vote for the war because he was not in the Senate to vote for it at the time. But he has continually voted to fund the war effort. He stated that he would open lines of communication with Iran, but would act on the behalf of Israel if Iran was to move against them. He is a politician. These are things that he must say to win the constituents to which these issues play. Politics is a game and you have to play the game in order to win it. No politician has the best interest of the people at heart. It is up to the populace to demand change of the system and this will not be accomplished by voting. The American people have been bought and sold and most are too complacent to do anything about it. Put your trust in Barack or any other politician and you will continue to be diaappointed.

  • Jezebel

Blind faith is a scary thing. Obama is human, flaws and all. I think it’s foolish to vote for someone just because they are black (like the 92% of Pennsylvanians… especially since Obama is half white). We should vote on the issues. Both candidates are politicians, make no mistake about that. They don’t care about you. After he wins the election, do you think he’s gonna really be there or will he pull a Michael Jackson?

Vote the issues. Why is he only mandating that children be forced to have insurance? If it’s too expensive to insure yourself, then it’s surely too expensive to insure your child. So what, basically if you CHOOSE not to buy insurance, the rest of us have to pay higher premiums to offset costs when you get expensive cancer treatments??? I don’t think so. Seriously, insurance would be no more expensive than a new pair of sneakers or a cell phone bill… Take care of your health BEFORE you sign up for the new cable package!

Also, he’s misleading with his capital gains speech ish. Capital gains are not just for the rich. It’s for ANYONE who owns a home and sells it for a profit, anyone who wants to live on their investments at retirement, anyone who wants to buy a stock. Yes, we will ALL be taxed a ridiculous amount, causing us not to buy and sell, thus hurting the economy.

He is going to raise EVERY single tax across the board and give us back $500 as a credit. Ha! Who is he really supporting?

  • lovely and amazing

Jezebel you are clearly a Hillary plant.

  • lovely and amazing

    Obama 2008!

    Yes We Can!

  • Jezebel

No, I am a young, black woman from Brooklyn, who is scared about my economic status. I make enough money to theoretically survive, but I find myself struggling day after day to make ends meet. And even if I was a Hillary plant, it doesn’t make my argument less valid…

In addition, I never claimed Hillary to be a god either. I think she has excellent ideas but I don’t agree with her “new expenditures with new revenues” idea either! They should work with the money they already have before taxing us to death for new stuff.

I only sway towards Hillary because under her, she would get every single person to have health insurance, which I think is important. She’s been tireless in this fight.

Other than that, I think they are both wasteful, lying politicians. I just wanted to warn about blind faith based on color or gender. Vote the issues!!

Don’t even get me started on McCain and his “summer gas tax break” ish. He’s a waste.

  • Jezebel

My only point is that politicians are politicians. Make no mistake, I am against Hillary, too. But she DOES have better plans.

Rev. Wright clearly knows the difference between Obama’s actual persona and his political rhetoric… This is an exerpt from an interview that will air on Bill Moyers Journal on Friday, April 25 at 9 pm on PBS.

BILL MOYERS:Here is a man who came to see you 20 years ago. Wanted to know about the neighborhood. Barack Obama was a skeptic when it came to religion. He sought you out because he knew you knew about the community. You led him to the faith.

You performed his wedding ceremony. You baptized his two children. You were, for 20 years, his spiritual counsel. He has said that. And, yet, he, in that speech at Philadelphia, had to say some hard things about you. How did those words…how did it go down with you when you heard Barack Obama say those things?

REVEREND WRIGHT:It went down very simply. He’s a politician, I’m a pastor. We speak to two different audiences. And he says what he has to say as a politician. I say what I have to say as a pastor. But they’re two different worlds.

I do what I do. He does what politicians do. So that what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the sound bytes, he responded as a politician.

  • lovely and amazing

Hillary’s Universal Health Care Plan is proven economically unsound.

It is also, IMHO, unconsitutional to obligate or penalty any American especially lower middle class and working class Americans who CHOOSE NOT to have health insurance. Medical and dental discount plans work for a lot of people.

Now, these people will have their checks garnished for comprehensive insurance they may not need or choose not to have.

Obama’s expanded healthcare plan will insure that all children are covered and that adults have a CHOICE to enroll in insurance plans and his plan is to implement an insurance fee sliding scale so affordable that even lower income Americans can afford it. CHOICE is the key word here.

Obama’s plan is also dignified. Part of hope is paying one’s on way and pricing where even the underprivileged can pay their own way. This is an uplift.

Hillary Clinton’s universal health care plan will not allow for CHOICE.

For her to DICTATE that everyone have insurance via garnisment of paychecks and then to penalize those who choose not to have insurance is nothing short of an unconsitutional megalomaniac ideal conjoured up by a rich white feminist married to a rich impeached ex-president whose 26 year old daughter earns $240,000 a year.

What would she know about the differnce an extra $150 each month means to the survival of many families? Her plan is not benevolent, it is inconsiderate and apathetic to working people.

    Obama 2008!

    Yes We Can!

  • Jezebel

You can’t have it both ways. If it’s unconstitutional to force you to buy it, then by the same extension, you shouldn’t have to buy it for your children. If it’s too expensive to buy it for yourself, then it’s too expensive for your children. I just ask that people be consistent.

Dignified? Sorry, I don’t think so. One emergency room visit (with ambulance) is about $1000, which is more than all premiums someone would pay in a year. Seeing people struggle to pay that is not dignified at all.

Also, Hillary’s plan would work on a sliding scale, as well. And will give credits (cash) to families to subsidize it.

The problem with this “choice”, is that you can’t advocate choice but then force people to buy it for some members of their family (ie. children). The other problem is that by not choosing to buy it, you are forcing the rest of society to pay for you. You choose to punish us. Your choice not to buy it leads to my not having a choice in paying higher premiums to cover the deficit of all those that defaulted.

Also, her plan would make insurance companies competitive. I pay for private insurance. If public insurance were available to me, my private insurance would lower costs to be able to fight the competition. Insurance rates would go down across the board and there would be no price gouging on pharmaceutical companies, either. I studied economics and worked in pharmaceuticals – I know first hand how much they inflate prices to insurance companies.

All drivers pay car insurance – no choice. All homeowners pay insurance – no choice. Every person buys social security – no choice there either. Every single American should have a quality of life better than the third world because we are so wealthy. But not making sure that everyone is taken care of, we truly are the richest third world country.

I believe that Obama has many other great ideas. He is just severely lacking on this important one, in my opinion.

    As an aside:

Because someone earns money is not a reason to hate someone. Chelsea has nothing to do with it. And I do want to point out that on a national average index of 100.0, NYC rates 189.2. Meaning that the cost of living here is 89.2% higher than everywhere else. An average 2 bedroom apartment is $2400 (and still I have yet to see such a great bargain). Being in that tax bracket, just for federal taxes, means she takes home a lot less than you might think. We also pay state and city and borough taxes here, too.

It seems like everyone in this country has a bloodthirsty need to punish people who have more money than them. Instead of hating people that earn, we should try to get ourselves to the point where we are also earning. We can do that by more education, more investments and more solid plans, not by slamming people’s children. Also, as a Harvard graduate myself, like Chelsea, I know that she actually earns LESS than most of her peers. So do I. But unlike her, I am still struggling to pay off the $50,000 per year that I paid for my education… I don’t blame her for her privilege. Jealousy will not anyone anywhere. Let’s just stick to the issues.

  • lovely and amazing

I repeat because you obviously did not read what I wrote:

As someone who would be considered upper middle class, I still am not blind as to what really constitutes privilege.

Michelle Obama speaks eloquently on the fact that it has become a privileged class in our country to maintain employment, shelter, and a basic living for oneself and family. This is not a stability enjoyed by everyone.

So, to reference Chelsea Clinton as the definition of merely “privileged” makes clear my point that you and Miss truth avoidant my parents dysfunction and my fathers impeachment are none of your business but I still want your vote to put them back in the white house Clinton are incapable of relatedness here.

I assure you dear that no one in the world envies Chelsea Clinton, just like no one in the world envies Eliot Spitzer’s kids or Kim McGreevy’s child. What’s to envy? Ask Guiliani’s kids who no longer speak to their dad if they are enviable. All privileged, none enviable.

Lastly, Bratllary plants and supporters come to declared pro-Obama to distract and manipulate our focus from supporting Obama.

I nor anyone else is obligated to defend, define, nor educate you on why we support Obama and it is our constitutional right to support our candidate of choice.

    I’ve made my point:

I agree with our next president Obama that Health Insurance should be a universally affordable CHOICE, not a universally mandated penalty.

I do not support Billary’s plan to dictate garnishment of paychecks for her universal healthcare ambition.

Again, in case you missed it, I agree with our next president Obama that Health Insurance should be generally affordable and it should be every American’s CHOICE to have coverage and they should not be penalized for choosing not to have it.

I’ve made my point. I’ve read yours. Lets agree to disagree and move on. Have a blessed day and all the best to you!

Ok. But I just want to point out that people aren’t protesting that we have to pay into Social Security. And that SS has helped millions of people live into retirement. And there is no way to opt out of it. It’s mandatory and no one has suffered into poverty because they have to pay the $3 per week.

Also, Bill comes from a family of white trash and Hillary is descended from steel workers. I think they have a basic understanding of what working class means.

My main point was to say that blindly following someone is dangerous and people should vote the issues. Obviously, you have your opinion about the issues, so my posts clearly aren’t for you. And while I will never agree that it is ok for a mother to choose not to be insured and then leave her children as orphans because she couldn’t afford cancer treatments, I respect your right to have your opinion. I also hope that you make enough money to pay the extra high premiums because some guy chose to puy a new PS3, rather than insurance and then got hit by a car and has all his medical bills are paid for by taxpayers. I don’t agree with or support people who shirk their responsibilities. Owning your health is truly uplifting.

    Have a great day.

I agree with the next President of the United States Obama that Health Insurance should be a choice and made affordable for all classes.

Government should not presume that its citizen would choose buying a Play Station over health insurance and personally, I don’t feel sorry for someone makesuch a ridiculous choice.

It’s called Obama’s inspiration and evocation of each American Citizen’s personal accountabilty as opposed to Hillary’s demand for a dictatorship.

I feel sorry for everyone that has to support people that choose not to buy it. And you know darn well that there are a lot of ignorant people out there that try to get over on other people. How many people do you see that drive Hummers and rock the latest gear while their kids eat government cheese. I know dozens and dozens – some are even in my own family. You can talk about hope, but can you talk about personal responsibility – or finance?

HRC’s plan is affordable for all and on a sliding scale. Calling it a dictatorship is a bit melodramatic, don’t you think? Do you feel the same way about social security (you keep avoiding that question)? And may I remind you that BO is forcing you to buy it for your kids, so is he now a dictator, too? Your arguments are not logical. Sorry, but it’s true. Do some more research before you get up on the soap box. Either way, enjoy your day.

A Jezebel is a woman regarded as evil and scheming, a very fitting name for a Bratllary supporter.

Attacking me and repeating what you already wrote doesn’t change the facts or my argument (which you still haven’t responded to). You can’t find fault with any of the issues I’ve presented, so you now resort to attacking my character because you know have nothing else to say. And then you have the nerve to complain about Hillary, who does the same exact thing? Yeah, like I said – no logic. Good luck with life, sweetheart. God bless.

(Oh yeah, Miss Intelligent – Jezebel was actually the Phoenician wife of King Ahab of Israel. She worshipped the religion of her homeland and thought against the masses of Israel. She was an independent thinker. She called herself equal to any man. Men couldn’t handle such a strong, fortutious woman and killed her and then soiled and blasphemed her name. But I wouldn’t expect you to know that.)

Bratllary Clinton’s universal healthcare plan is an economically unsound dictatorship. Her plan failed once for good reason. It is an ego-driven ambition not a sound plan. It will bankrupt this country just like the Iraq war she voted for and still supports behind closed doors.
