Atlanta homicide detectives have arrested a suspect in the beating death of the former fiancé of the newest member of the reality television show The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fredrick Richardson has been charged with voluntary manslaughter. Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, who was engaged to Kandi Burruss until last August, died of massive head injuries he suffered in a “one-on-one” fight in the parking lot of an Atlanta strip bar, the Body Tap Club in the 1200 block of Marietta Boulevard. Richardson was also hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the fight and is at Grady Memorial Hospital, but will be jailed once released by medical staff. Atlanta police spokesman Officer James Polite said detectives were still “trying to figure out [what happened]. We had a pretty good number of witnesses that are being cooperative.” But the cause of the fight was still not known Saturday.
Polite said Jewell worked at the club but he did not know in what capacity. Burruss said in an interview with the entertainment Web site Essence.com last month that Jewell had bought an interest in an Atlanta club but she did not identify the business. Body Tap is popular with celebrities. Burruss, who has a daughter, was flooded with condolences Saturday on her social networking pages on Twitter.com and MySpace.com. Kandi Burruss thanked friends for their condolences and asked for prayers for Jewell’s six children. She also asked to be left alone. “im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone,” she wrote on a Twitter.com post. She also posted that she had to get some rest before her uncle’s funeral on Saturday. Kim Zolciak, a fellow “Housewives” castmate, said in a phone interview from California Saturday morning how “disgusted” she was that someone could take a life like this. “My heart and prayers are with Kandi, AJ’s children and family,” she said. “I can’t imagine the loss they’re feeling. I’ll be there for my dear friend Kandi.” Zolciak added, “I adored A.J. He will definitely be missed.”

This is just terrible. There are now 6 kids without a dad. I am just glad that Kandi did not mary tht guy it would have been much more hurtful for her. even though it will still hurt bad beauce they were once together and she undoubtedly still loved him but it would have been a way worde pain had they married. This the latiest report I got from another web site;AJ had been engaged to Kandi Burruss of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but the two recently split up and his twin daughters have been living with Kandi ever since.
We’re told that AJ was actually beaten to death after he was caught having sex with a woman named Veronica, the owner of Body Tap. It’s believed that her husband walked in on them before AJ was beaten and killed.
A suspect is now in jail, but there is no word on where Veronica might be.
Wow that doesn’t looking good if he was messing with someone else wife. No wonder why there was so much hatred in the fight.

Someone also posted a tip on TMZ.com that Veronica Jones’ husband (nicknamed “Cornbread”) was jealous of her close relationship with A.J., who allegedly was in negotiations to buy the strip club. This person claims that Jones drove A.J. to the hospital herself. I’m seeing this person’s name popping on different blogs, so it looks like there’s a lot more to the story.
Also, I hadn’t heard of Manta.com (I usually use Hoovers.com and other sites to look up businesses), but it’s good for small business info. It can be challenging to find details on privately owned companies. Thanks.

If you happen to stumble upon this message, please know that people are thinking of you and praying for you. No one deserves to have their life taken this way. People hurt others and never think about the extended family involved.
This idiot may have physically taken a life but he mentally robbed you, the children, friends and family as well. Hearts break and the family is left to try and cope. Take your time and if you choose, go to counseling, speak with a pastor, do whatever it is that you need to do. In time, you will find a “new normal.” In the mean time, take care of yourself. If you don’t take care of yourself, there is no way that can you care for those beautiful children. Prayers to you and the family.

Well her husband could be saying this to lighten his story that they was having sex when he walk in. What we do know that he was jealousy of the friendship that she had with AJ who was suppose to buy the business. What does not match his story is,if you walk in on your soulmate having sex with someone I do not think you would tell the man to put on his clothes and lets go outside and fight. Most likely the fight is gonna start right there and now. I think it was more of a argument of him taking over the business and doing this deal with his wife,basically insecure.
