Chris Rock Takes To Netflix For His Latest Stand-Up Special

Continuing on with their recent element of surprise when it comes to new projects–and also keeping with the theme of completely killing it when it comes to their comedy specials–Netflix just announced that a new special from a huge name is coming to their streaming service for Valentine’s Day.

On Tuesday, Netflix officially announced that Chris Rock’s latest stand-up special will become available for viewers to indulge in on February 14th. It was never a secret that Rock was working on a new stand-up special for the streaming giant, but there was also never any timeline as to when we would actually get to see it….well, until now. Rock’s brand new stand-up material, titled Chris Rock: Tamborine, will mark the comedian’s first special in more than 10 years.

Rock’s latest endeavor was directed by Bo Burnham, who previously worked on directing Jerrod Carmichael’s recent HBO special. The legend has been busy touring all across the world throughout these past few months, but the special itself was said to have been taped at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.

Much to Mo’Nique’s dismay, Rock’s deal with Netflix calls for two stand-up specials that will reportedly net him approximately $40 million.
