I think its admirable that he admits that he cannot read well. Back than a lot of kids concentrated more on sports (basketball and football) than their education. Kells is not the only one. America just recently took education seriously especially in the South. Football/Basketball was more important and they let athletes pass classes even if they couldn’t count, read, write etc. Who better to tell others to take education seriously than someone who has been through it, someone who cannot read.

Eh y’all late then a motha! He openly admits to having poor grammar and reading skills many times before. He explained it’s because throughout his childhood he didn’t stay in one school. His mom, him and his two other siblings moved a lot due to poverty.

Dear R Kelly,
I may not agree with everything you do, however,
it takes alot of courage to admit in public that you don’t read (and possibly have trouble reading), it’s never too late to learn. You can learn to read in a few months. If your reading level improves, please feel free to contact me, I would like to recommend some awsome books to you. I think
that the songs your write have some prolific prose & I think it would make your song writing even better.
Please continue to write & stay away from trouble.
There is no shame in admitting one has difficulty reading.

It’s not the point of R not knowing how to read, it’s the point of him making millions of dollars not knowing how to read, when we have ppl that have invested thousands of dollars for college and cant even get a job paying enough to live plus pay their loans back.

Dont hate the man because he found a way to come up and succeeded. When the time is right, if it is important enough to him he will get around to learning to read.
I’m not mad at him, I say do your thing R.
And for those that think they are so smart, then they should figure out how to come up since they can read so well. I didnt know u could prove how smart you are by being on an entertainment blog using big words…..
