Now there’s talk of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon being engaged:

Based on sightings of the two holding hands — and photos of Carey wearing a big ring Saturday night during a New York afterparty for her new film, “Tennessee” — various media reports suggest that she may be [engaged].

Here’s Nick’s clever response to the matter:

When pressed for [info], he positively squirmed, adding, ‘I can’t even know what to say. She’s probably the most festive, remarkable person I’ve ever met. Good friend.’ When pressed further about the rumors, he said, ‘Rumors happen. They do.’”

Whatevah. We have a hard time entertaining that one. It sounds like a nice front, but we’ve heard otherwise.

On the way into the party of the premier of her new flick “Tennesse”, Mimi was up to her unusual behavior again.

“On the walk-in, when she dropped her sunglasses on the red carpet, she quickly turned her back to the wall of photographers until she’d slipped them back on.”

Okay, that ish sounds bizarre. We wonder what she was hiding, hmmmm.
