All black girls had nappy looking heads back in the 80′s because that was the style. There were very few women who took pics back in those days that actually looked good. I am a good example I looked at my 9th grade picture from 1985 and it looks horrible, and I have never been considered an ugly person even back then.

I’ve stated in the past that I think MOST people in Hollywood are naturally “average” or “slightly above average”. They just look GREAT in cosmetics, fancy clothes, and expensive jewelry. It’s often the same in the modeling industry as well. Many of those people aren’t “all that”, but we accept them as such because they are presented to us as such. I’ve read about/seen so many modeling shows etc. (I LOVED fashion/modeling when I was an adolescent) that I know it’s primarily an illusion produced with the help of good makeup artistry. I’m not insulting anyone’s appearance. I’m just saying they get more “hype” than they probably deserve. Most of the TRULY beautiful people I’ve seen (that means NATURAL/sans makeup for me), I’ve seen “in passing”–just walking down the street, or randomly in public somewhere. Most of this entertainment industry “hype” is just a big “popularity contest”.
