There is nothing wrong with wearing weaves, or coloring your hair. Hair is your glory. If some of us want to wear wigs, weave, braids, what have you; it is ok. If some of us want to wear our natuarl hair that is also ok. The thing about it is that it is 2009. We have the freedom to do whatever we want to do. The USA is about being free to do what you want to do. Black women do not have to wear their hair the same. Variety is the spice of life. What gives Chris Rock the right to tell Black women how to wear their hair. He seemed to be amazed when, he was on Oprah that so many White women wear weaves, and wigs, and the majority of them dye their hair. BTW their are also many Black women with long hair.

Shes a pretty face and even that is only because she wears makeup all the time. I can can count on my hand the number of times we’ve seen rihanna with no makeup over the last 2 years. Rihanna is a product. They dress her up and have her walk around forever and once in a while put her in the studio to sing songs that were made for her.

you act as though something is wrong with her natural texture. however, I agree with you about beyonce. she needs to decide whether she wants to rock a ‘fro or continue with her weaves/wigs, not both @ the same time. rihanna is obviously going for some other kind of style with this look. i think the doowop is ugly, but i also doubt it was her decision. you need to start calling out her stylists, not the one who never gets a chance to think for herself.

i’m actually sort of relieved her hair looks coarse as hell. perhaps those who worship her will feel better about their own hair after seeing this.

I don’t have a problem with weaves and such, but I DO have a problem with Chris Rock saying Creamy Crack when it comes to black women. I mean, have some respect. Why is it that CRACK has to be associated with the black community? He is just so ignorant and Steppin Fetchit sometimes. It is not f funny when he is going to all these TV talk shows talking about some creamy crack. And he was on Monique’s show and she also thought it was hilarious with her loud self. GHETTO!!

Well it is clear that you do not love yourself if you are in fact of african descent.

What is wrong with showing black hair that has not been tainted. You have been taught to hate yourself. Please do not teach the rest of the world this same self-hate.

More people should go around showing what their natural hair looks like. The more we get use to seeing it then we can slowly start seeing that this type of hair is a blessing from God.

If you doubt that black hair is beautiful and should not be shown in its natural state then you have a serious problem.
