From Harlem to Hollyweird

Well well well, look who Harlem shook his way to Hollyweird. Diddy is being honored with a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk Hall of Fame this Friday. He must be feeling all cozy inside about this one. Kudos to him, but it’s still bit of a mystery as to why he’s getting this honor – especially when we know it takes some Black actors years before they receive recognition. You gotta respect the man’s mogul game.

@ guilty, you’re right – Everybody pays for the star. You campaign to get the star (which can take a while because there is a certain number of folks who can get it every year) and then pay for it. I was surprised this is the case, beacuse I thought it was an honor and something you were nominated for. But no, people petition to get stars and the organization responsible votes on whether they do or don’t. Side bar – Dear Kim: Don’t ever go on record talking about you left Diddy, you are not together and whatever BS you would like us to believe. You will never leave your ATM machine (Diddy). He obvioulsly paid for the star. Fans are the one’s that usually pay for the star to honor their favorite celebrity. I highly doubt anybody is dishing out any money for diddy and for what movie to honor him for. Also, it’s only 500.00 to get a star, that’s a bottle at the club for Diddy.

It is well known in Hollywood that the you have to pay for to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

i have always wondered how people received their stars on the walk of fame..some people put out one movie and receive a star, while others have a catalogue of blockbusters & still have no star!
as much as I dont care for this man, I got to give it up and say that he really deserves it.
he has truly done a lot of work in his time. and contributed to the entertainment industry greatly, whether we want to admit it or not.
whether he paid for it doesnt matter.
the point is everybody will remeber his name long after he is gone. and this star will help that!

its very easy for a celebrity to get a star- they do not call you- You call them and if you pay the $5000.00 fee you get your star. That is how Beyonce got hers and all the rest for the last eight years. Before it used to be that you had to be a legend, but now they need the money- so they allow celebrities to submit an applications
