It is really hard to make out exactly what was going. I am not sure if Lil’ Mama was trying to ask or get Beyonce to come on stage w/her or if she was telling Beyonce to leave her alone while she headed on to the stage. One thing for sure is that Beyonce was definitely trying to stop her from doing so (grabbing hold to Lil Mama w/both hands), but what more could she have done? If Beyonce would’ve physically restrained her it still would’ve taken away from the performance. I will say this after viewing this clip I no longer feel that Lil Mama was just “in the moment” b/c clearly Beyonce attempt was a clear sign that what she was about to do was a big NO NO. However, the girl didn’t kill anyone, she did come on towards the end. Yes, it was still wrong, but folks acting like she blew up the NY towers.

On a serious note security should not have allowed ANYONE to come up on stage whether a person is a celebrity or not. Celebrities are not exempt from potential acts of violence and/or mental illnesses. The fact that these random incidence happened twice is NOT GOOD, one can clearly see if someone is getting up and approaching the stage so either security was non-existent at or around the stage or they hired incompetent security. The tennis player that got stabbed on court, and even the Tonya Harding case (ice skaters)come to mind, folks need to becareful.

The VMAS are highly known for there spontaneous outburst. To me I literally thought it was apart of the performance knowin that Lil Mama is from NY also from NY. And to note they all seem to have similar experiences as to becomin famous out of NY. It can be exhilarating to know that your fave artist rep from where your from as well.

Jay and Alicia could have pulled other fans from NY onstage as well. Because one the show was recorded in NY livE, two the song is LIVE (especially if your from NY) and three they could have displayed there generousity and appreciation to all there FANS that not only help make them but love there music as well.
