related to Comp USA. NUD (Non Urban Dictate) is the acronym for a very subtle and little-known marketing term specifically directed toward
people of color.
‘Non Urban Dictate’ These three words essentially ean that a company is
not interested in the Black consumer. A NUD label means that a company
does not want their marketing and advertising materials placed in media
that claim an urban audience (black folks) as their main target. There
are legitimate reasons for companies not using urban radio. It may be
that Blacks don’t index high in certain categories or that a company’s
strategy is to market to the Black consumer down the road after they
have established a strong position in their primary target. But, NUD
usually means that a company is not interested in the Black consumer.
Companies evade discrimination liability by embracing it as theory
rather than policy. As a service to Black consumers, the Urban Institute
will list all companies that have a NUD policy. Armed with this
information, we feel that Black consumers will be able to make informed
buying decisions.

If he wasn’t gay or bi-sexual then he wouldn’t feel such a strong need to defend himself. No one has him on the cover of their magazines so why bother with what a few blogs are saying?
Just brush it off. Eddie probably put him up to that interview, since it may be cutting into the type of women he’s still able to pick up.

Johnny Gill is a SE DC queen. I remember him walking down Ely Place going to school with a scary curl and walking with the girls. A queen then … a queen now, but he can definitely sing.

I think he’s secure, but it sounds like the gossip came from people he allowed into his circle and actually got somewhat close with.
It’s different when a rumor is initiated from within your circle than from total strangers who know nothing about, or have nothing to do with, you.
That’s why he’s affected, because when his child gets older he may/will hear that stuff from within the network of kids he *****ociates with.
So, Hollywood is saying he’s gay not just random gossipers from across the nation.

Let’s be real. Does anyone really care and if so why is it so important to know for that person? “At the end of the day,” or should I say at the end of life, the only person we have to answer to is God, and we’ll all be accountable for what we all say and do, including Johnny Gill and us individually. Keep in mind that we all will be held accountable for judging another human being. Everyone has the right to have their own opinions, but be careful how you form opinions because they often become judgments. Media plays a large role in how we form opinions, but we all know that we can’t believe everything we see and hear in the media because they don’t always have their facts correct. Don’t forget that a child is involved. What we all say about his father’s life, whether negative or positive, affects this child’s life. Imagine a male child going to school everyday and the kids bullying him around because of rumors that his father is gay. It’s got to be a miserable life for a little boy. I’m speaking as a woman who loves kids and a fan of Johnny Gill’s musical talents. I don’t dwell on his personal life because his life doesn’t affect me one way or the other. On the other hand what the public and media says about him does affect his life dramatically.
