It could be hers’s or not. Can’t tell in the photo. I do get offended that everyone, including blacks, feel that all black women wear weaves. Although petty, it is a put down. As if black women can’t have hair past there shoulders. I get questioned on a regular about my hair, its real, yet people think its impossible. Regardless of hair texture or skin complexion, all people can grow hair if it is taken care of. That means getting trims, conditioning the hair, and taking care of the scalp. Some people are unable to grow their hair out, because they dont give that extra effort, and would rather use glue to stick on fake hair instead.

my cousin(weave queen) uses/used “outre” brand hair, which means bizarre, unconventional, and improper. I told her the meaning of her hair and she brushed it off like it was nothing. I loathe hair-weaves. I feel sorry for men who run their unsuspecting hands through tracks n glue.

…maybe weave is not bad, perhaps it’s the texture of the weave. white folks where weave and are not as stigmatized as black women. if black women wore weave that compliments their own natural texture, it probably wouldn’t be so bad…
