I just do not understand why he feels the need to always defend his wife, their relationship, or anything else regarding her….maybe if he left her at home he would not be having this problem.

Maybe I am just a little naive about things but I just do not feel that love has to be defended! Love is an unspoken action….I mean goodness if people hate your wife, maybe you need to wake up…and nobody I mean nobody is going to respect a relationship that was built on adultery and turning on the people you love (friends, fans, and family). I am sorry love does not come with all that…And to be honest it has been said before women know women, especially black women, we know trouble when we see it….it is not hating it is the truth….He needs Jesus!! Maybe I just see things different but this whole thing is with Tameka is getting old…if Usher truly loves Tameka time will tell….but until them Shut up and grow up. But I will say this all things and secrets that are hidden and in the dark will eventually come to the light. And to be honest him acting a plum fool everytime somebody talks about his wife, simply means the light is about to get bright.

I mean lets get real if nobody I mean nobody liked the person you were with wouldnt that make you think maybe they see something I dont….all the smiling and fakeness means nothing…..Anybody can fake and act happy, especially women we fake all the time, we fake orgasims so the front that means nothing…Usher loves attentions so please so dont say he was unhappy about the paps. There are very few times when he truly seems happy….He seems very rehearsed…..he knows what to say and when to say it. I mean I am not a big fan of Tameka, and sometimes the things said about her age and sometimes looks are true but mean….and nobody deserves that but when you are known for your atitude, having a criminal record, leaving your family (which she did) to be with another man, whom you had an affair with and all this happens within a years time or less something is worng, and to top it off his mother did not even show to his wedding! I am sorry those are the reasons Tameka is getting so much heat has nothing to do with her age or her looks because to be honest if she had a beautiful personality we would not be having this conversation….But I digress, As a whole we as Black women have it hard enough fighting the stereotypes, name calling, and disrespect from other races and even our own that when we see a women who has had an affair, broke up a relationship between a mother and a son, left her family and remarried a richer man, gets pregnant (which I hate to see because they already think all we are good for is sex…other races…but not everybody), has a criminal record and to top it off has allowed him to turn against, friends and family, Like I said I cannot deal with the age and kids thing because my huspand is 13 years older than me and has a child but at least my friends and family like him, even my ex likes him (but enough about me)….that does not sit well with many of us….and perfectly understood….see it is women like that, that make it hard for the rest of us…..that is basically what people deep down are trying to get at in their comedic way.

I understand where is Usher is coming from about not wanting to “pimp” his child for the money. On the other side of that, I was also thinking that some of our Black celebrities should take decent money from certain publications for pictures of their children. People of other races’ children are making millions of dollars and getting these beautiful pictorials in magazines. I want people to see beautiful Black children “get their shine on” in a 6 page spread in a glamorous magazine. I want people to know that our children are worth million of dollars too. Yes- all of our children are our priceless. No- the money for pictures isn’t for everyone, but I want some of our folks to also rake in the bucks.

U know what I’ve come to realize? That everybody that has a comment on this blog needs to get a life and stop worrying bout what people who are more fortune than thou are doing with their lives! Grow up damnmit!

You definitely have some good points. I think people got a bad taste for Tamecka from the jump when she created the strife between Usher and his mom. Then leaving a husband, three kids, and the criminal record came to light that was all she wrote. It’s hard to gain respectibility with all that. If she had entered the picture a bit more subtle and without drama people would have taken to her more. In the grand scheme of things who the hell are we? Right? As you said, at some point all the defending will wear on the relationship. If the love is all they have attested that is is then f**k everybody else. The best thing they can do is go about their lives and quietly prove the naysayers wrong. I think the Ebony fathers day issue will be wonderful and I’m pleased Usher decided to participate. Anyone recall the picture of Boris K. with his girls.

No, Usher should not have married Alicia, Halle, Kim or any of the others you mentioned. That’s not where his heart was/is. His heart led him to Tamicka so that’s where he belongs. To each his own.

In regards to Tamicka’s looks, I don’t find her attractive but that’s my personal opinion. I’m not hating on her as I’m dark skinned myself. Her skin is beautiful however her features…again my personal opinion she always looks a bit rough or hard in the face. I will say this and give credit where credit is due there was a photo op of her in either Essence or Ebony (can’t recall if she was pregnant but I believe she was)in which she looked the best I have ever seen her. Perhaps it was a pregancy glow but her facial features appeared softer.

Getting a paid a nominal / standard fee for your time is very different than shopping photos of your child to various publications with a starting price (of $500,000, $1M, etc). It’s like putting a price tag on oh well you know what I’m getting at.

Good for Usher! That’s what a man’s supposed to do – stand up for your wife and family. He doesn’t care what people think (especially those that don’t even know them). Keep lovin’ your wife. He loves her and respects her, and everything is not about looks. Regardless of her past, he’s the one living with her so live and let live.
