I say all of that to say that no, it does not appear that Usher and Tameka have the makings of a “good team” which is what a relationship/marriage ultimately is….this ofcourse from the outside looking in. They don’t seem (at least outwardly) to reflect well upon one another…but then again, thier dynamics may be different than what they portray publicly, although I doubt it very much. They seem mismatched physically, there is no outward chemistry, and then there are the facts that this woman does not get along with/respect his mother. So, from an educated, honest perspective (and also a former Usher fan…his singing was great although he resembles a monkey to me) I’m disappointed in his choice of woman.

I would have been okay if she was unattractive as she is, but she had some other redeeming qualities like a stellar character, extreme intelligence, or was accomplished in terms of her career. But again, it looks like she is a gold digger that hit the jackpot…strong controlling personality…and he probably loves it. He grabbed the closest thing to him that had some of the charachteristics that he wants, but Usher there are alot of very very attractive, strong-willed, independent, single moms out in the world if that’s what you were looking for.

i will say this in his defense…..unless you are in these people’s (celebrities) circles, it is very difficult to meet or connect with one of them. My ex was very affluent and i realized that alot of the events that we attended were closed to the public so someone that would be much more qualified or is a more suitable candidate or match for them cannot connect because they are not accessible. Usher couldn’t walk into a supermarket in my village or anywhere else without being bombarded by fans so he could never see someone like me….a doctor, early 30s, happily divorced 8 years ago, 2 wonderful privately educated children, was a professional model (I resemble Pillar from Prime Time Love)…am half Asian half black, independent, own house, own whip, and so not a groupie.

Its sad that qualified black women will never have a chance to connect with good black men (and I’m talking about charachter AND accomplishments) due to the lack of accessibility.

Oh well. All you can do is wish them luck. I am not a hater at all, but i will say that with the character that Tameka has (based on what I’ve heard of course) I do think her days are numbered as his spouse. You’ve got to have one or the other honey (looks or personality) and if you have neither, eventually he will wake up and walk away because he will find that there are women out there that have both….effortlessly. well he approached me and i was not feeling him even though he looked hot i was not sure about him

he persisted and his persistance paid off we exchanged numbers and hooked up as friends
