Beyonce’s got one hell of a prenup with Jay-Z:
“The R&B/pop diva, who is worth a reported $100 million, inked a prenuptial agreement with new hubby Hov that could result in a $25 million payday for Bey. The longer Beyonce stays married to S. Carter, the more money he pays. The thirty-eight year old Carter’s net worth is estimated at $300 million.
Jay-Z adores Beyonce, and was pretty much willing to give her almost anything she wanted. The prenup calls for Jay-Z to pay Beyonce $10 million if the marriage ends after two years, and $1 million a year for each further year she remains in the marriage, up to fifteen years.

^Child support is set by the courts, but we aren’t talking about child support- we’re talking about a stipulation in the prenup (which may, or may not be real). There are plenty of celebrity couples who do the same thing. The wife gets a certain amount for each child she births. I think I might have heard about that with Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas some time ago.
Bey’s career depends on her looks and performance. She’s certainly a great singer, but we all know she promotes a sexy image that requires her being a fit, picture perfect pop star. After having a child or 2 she might not want to be dancing around in videos or going on tour- she may want to stay home and let Jay be the sole breadwinner- we don’t know.
The point is, she really has not stopped at any point in her career. If she does take a break, it will probably be to have children. I’m sure she would love to have kids, but since she’s in a relationship both she and Jay have to compromise.
