Tina Turner comeback

Tina Turner is like: “f**k retirement!!!” She plans to go back on tour in October. In a conversation with Oprah, the geriatric diva says:

“‘After [performing at] the Grammys when I got home to Zurich, people would come up to me in the restaurant, in the ladies room, on the street … everywhere. I started getting lots of little slips of paper and napkins with notes from fans. Some of them were so touching about my life, or a song and how it helped them. Each time I kept the note … and suddenly there was a pile. I called my manager and said, ‘It’s time! ‘”

This one begs the question: How old is too old?? When we say “don’t hurt yourself Tina”, we really mean that sh*t. With all due respect, we really don’t want to see ole girl fall in those stillettos and break her hip. SMH.

Well, if Cher can do it so can Tina…I’ll buy a ticket to see both them high energy cougars breakneck across the stage.

    :)

I think it’s time for her to retire. I have been a Tina fan for quite a while and although she did a good job with the Grammy performace it was obvious she has slowed down. She should just bow out gracefully and let the younger chicks do their thing.

  • 6 Figgaz

F*ck it, I’d let her be my “Private Dancer” even at her ripe ol’ age. My moms rocked to Tina’s sh*t when I was a seed. She’s the truth…

  • Neshee1

You are only as old as you feel. I think that if she wants to go back on tour then what is the problem. I would pay to see one of her shows. I know that I would get my moneys worth and then some. Hell she would put Beyonce to shame and those other people who try to be like her. If she did go on tour I would love to see her with the likes of Alicia Keys or somebody like that.

  • Saucy

You go Tina. She’s in great shape. Why shouldn’t she go back out on tour. She’s going to have sold out shows. The white folks love her.

  • SoSo

f*** it. why not? She looks damn good for her age n she still has talent. If cher old ass is still doin it then I’d looove to see tina on stage.

  • SoSo

    “EAT THE CAKE ANNA MAE!”

Go Tina .. I love her and damn if she looks like a 70 year old….. the woman is bad!!!!!!!!!

  • http://aol ebonieladi

I would pay money to see her in a heartbeat. I would much rather see her and know I’m going to see a good performance, than the majority of the acts out there now. They can take lessons from Ms Tina on how to do the damn thing and keep it going

into their twilight years where people will still pay to see them

  • Encyclopedia Brown

No disrespect, but I have no desire to see this ole lady on tour.

    None.

  • Lili

Yooooo PPl pay a lot to see Tina Turner live! She’s one of the top grossing performers and she might still hold the title for performing in front of the largest audience- something like 90-100K ppl!

    Beyonce in 35yrs.

  • fsfeioreg

    she is pretty and hot,right?

    She is a hot member of a celeb dating club m a r r y m i l l i o n a i r e . c o m. It was said that she wanna seek for rich man to date. Who will be the lucky rich man?

  • Golden

Why don’t you just say “I want to go back to performing”. I remember her in an interview getting very emotional right before she “retired” stating that it was just time. I think they are addicted to the roar of the crowd. That’s what they can’t let go of. You know they don’t need the money anymore.

  • buttafly

She still looks good and if she can still do it, then why not do it.

  • TRUTH,, i am a girl

    Go tina!!

  • Blacksmith

If the wrinkly Rolling Stones can still tour, then so can Anna Mae.

Sing it like Ike told ya, Anna Mae!!

  • Shay

I can’t hate on Tina. If she still has it then work it.

  • MrsKeanu

Tina can teach these one hit, limited talent youngsters a thing or two. I don’t want to see her break a hip either. But if the Rolling Stones can do it, so can Tina.

  • ShavonDenise

No problem with that. Respect a legend, ‘dont even fix yo lips lke cologen and to sat somein’ bout Tina you going to end up apologing!

  • http://www.blackgaysocialite.blogger.com GAY

Homes in the South of France and Zurich along with Beverly Hills and New York. Tina’s doing it on Oprah status. There’s few black women who are living like that. I support them both.
