David And Tamela Mann Talk “Us Against The World”, Relationships & Their TV One Film

David and Tamela Mann were open books during a recent sit-down with Bossip about love and relationships. The husband and wife team/gospel duo is currently promoting their new book “Us Against the World: Our Secrets to Love, Marriage, and Family” and new album “Us Against the World: The Love Project.”

In between discussing both, the Manns who’ve been together for 20 years with no separations, gave us their candid opinions on a number of subjects including open marriage which they’re strongly against, unlike other couples in Hollywood.

David: “You open yourself up for failure.”

Tamela: “And you open for destruction. That could lead to so many diffetnt things, it’s confusion. […] What makes people wanna do that, is because they’ve been with somebody else but if they just waited and [had] been with that one person you wouldn’t know what it’s like to have been flipped and tripped…”

David: “I’m glad that I waited on you…”

Tamela: “Baby, you didn’t wait. You see his face?! Lies! All lies!”

They also spoke on fans making inappropriate comments to Tamela in particular. According to the Manns they were shocked when a fan called her a MILF. Now, however, Tamela actually wouldn’t mind if David called her that sometime.

Tamela: “We have people that say inappropriate things….

David: “MILF, we old y’all. We don’t know what all this stuff. is.

Tamela: “To me it is out of line because I am a married woman.

David: “Would it be disrespectful if I said it?

Tamela: “Not to me–you?! No, it’d be great. Go ahead, say it!”

They also broke to Bossip that they’re going on Tyler Perry’s Madea farewell tour in 2019. The tour is Tyler Perry’s final showing of his Madea character before she’s “killed off.” David and Tamela Mann
