Nicki Minaj Allegedly Asked Tekashi69 To Change Fashion Nova Lyric Over Cardi B

The petty beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B has bled over (no pun intended) to faux-gangsta Tekashi69’s endorsement deal with Fashion Nova according to TMZ.

Follow us here, Fashion Nova cut 6ix9ine a 6-figure check to endorse their ubiquitous clothing line in a song and music video. On his new album Dummy Boy, Takashi has a song called “MAMA” featuring Nicki Minaj and Kanye West with the lyric:

“Splish splash apple bottoms make that ass phat.”

Here’s where Nicki’s influence comes into play. Previously we reported that a Tekashi music video shoot was interrupted by gunfire, that video shoot was for “MAMA”. One of the scenes in the video was to be a line of women with their cakes out while standing above a product placement placard emblazoned with “Fashion Nova”. Word is that when Nicki caught wind of the lyric she was outraged because of she didn’t want Cardi B’s then-unreleased line to get a boost. Nicki reported asked Tekashi, her “baby”, to change the line and he replaced the shout out with Apple Bottoms, which nobody wears anymore.

Obviously, the music video was never finished and won’t be because 6ix9ine is in prison. At this time Fashion Nova isn’t asking for their money back, but we have a feeling its just a matter of time…

Damn, Onika, was it REALLY that serious?
