The Two Media Heads Drop The Lawsuit

It seems like all is being resolved in Black Hollywood after Lee Daniels and Dame Dash reportedly squashed their expensive beef.

You might remember back in June, Dame pulled up on Lee during a Diana Ross concert saying the director owed him $2 million for a movie investment. The dramatic run-in eventually led Lee to say that he would pay back Dame Dash what he’s owed. Meanwhile, Dame decided to file a lawsuit for $5 million to include the $2 mil he’s owed from Lee, plus interest and lost profits.

However, fast forward to today and it seems the two media heads have worked things out, according to TMZ. Docs obtained by the site show that Dame and Lee agreed to drop the lawsuit and each will pay their own attorney’s fees.

The documents don’t reveal any financial details or whether Lee payed Dame back at all. But if Lee is sticking to his word on paying Dame back every cent, then hopefully Dame’s bank account just got $2 million richer.

Whatever he got in the settlement, Dame seems to be satisfied. He released a statement to TMZ saying  “I’m good. Just happy two people from the culture could work things out.”

And all was right in Black Hollywood.

Amen.
